VIDEO: Freshen Up Your Spring Makeup with Colors

By Charleen Gonzalez for Shine Latina

For spring, add pop to your makeup routine with subtle colors -- try going for a bright-pink lip and green liner. The idea is to take inspiration from the colors of blooming and incorporating them in fresh, creative ways. A good one to try is Stila's new, intense Countless Color Pigments, $22 each, which can blend together to create your own unique shade.

Step 1:
Apply Stila's Countless Color Pigment in Groupie to the inner corners of your eyes. Then take the bronze pigment and apply it to the rest of your eye, up to right above the crease. To intensify the eye, take the dark-brown pigment and smudge it on the outer corners. Then take a clean brush and blend out any harsh lines.

Step 2:
Apply Stila's Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Turquoise, $20, to the lower lash line and slightly flick it upwards at the outer corners of the eyes.

Step 3:
Using Stila's Countless Color Pigment in Light Show, apply a mix of the dark and light blue to the outer corners of your eyes, where the turquoise liner is. Then apply the lime green to the inner corners.

Step 4:
Apply a thin line of Stila's Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black, $20, to the upper lash line and apply several coats of your favorite mascara to both top and lower lashes.

Step 5:
Finish off by brushing on Stila's Countless Color Pigment in Lyric to the apples of the cheeks for a soft flush, then pat Stila's After Glow Lip Color in Party Pink, $18, on your lips for a light-pink stain.
