Want Not, Waste Not!

You've heard of the saying, "Waste not, want not"? Let's turn the term around where it makes more sense. "Want not, waste not."

Want is the root word for power. Wants are insatiable. The wealthy have insatiable appetites, and that is why they waste so much on overindulgence. That is why they will not share. They're hooked on everything, including political power. This is why it's a good idea to minimize your wants or demands.

You cannot completely eradicate power in your system, so it's best to keep your wants weak. Then you don't get hooked on extravagance. For example, drink a 60 cent beer, but stay away from that $1000 bottle of wine. Smoke an occasional cigarette, but stay away from that two foot long cigar and street drugs. Eat common, nutritious food, not an excessively rich diet, and you won't get fat. Use common sense, and you don't have to rely on politicians.

If you stay right around simple needs, you don't waste your money on items you don't need. In other words, don't dig your own grave.
