Why is Matthew McConaughey so crazy? He gets it from his mama!
We all know the bongo-playing Matthew McConaughey can be wild, so it really comes as no surprise to learn that his mom is somewhat of a free spirit. In her new boo, I Amaze Myself!, Kay McConaughey openly shares embarrassing stories on everything from how Matthew was conceived to how her husband died while they were having sex.
"On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love," says Kay. "But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew that something was wrong, because I didn't hear anything from him. Just nothing, but it was just the best way to go!"
And when Matthew's dad couldn't be revived, Kay deliberately left his body nude. "I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey -- and his gift," she says. Matthew is such a character himself (he recently DJ'd in his girlfriend's delivery room) that he probably doesn't even flinch from such tales.
