Red wine does a body good--just ask your physician and now, your dermatologist! It didn't take a lot of convincing to believe that a glass a day of vino was good for my heart but my face? It's not hokum, it's science! According to the University of Wisconsin, Reservatrol, an ingredient found in the red variety of grapes, provides multiple benefits for the skin like protection from UV damage and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. I had to see if my favorite adult beverage could really make my skin happy too. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to sample Vine Vera's Merlot Essential Collection and I have to say that I am impressed!
I'm nuts about Vine Vera's Merlot Collection!
Here's a blurb from their website, "Resveratrol is a powerful antioxidant found in the skin of red grapes and is clinically proven to have positive anti-aging benefits. Years of research has shown Resveratrol to be one of the most potent anti-aging substances that have been discovered. This miraculous ingredient has been shown to provide the human body with numerous health benefits that can slow or even reverse the effects of aging in the human body."
Okay, I've been using this product for about two weeks and I am convinced. My skin does look brighter and it feels soft to the touch. Vine Vera has a light scent and it goes on smoothly, quickly absorbing into the skin. Admittedly, it's not cheap. You'll definitely have to make an "investment" for wine-inspired beauty. However, if you're looking for a reliable day cream that has effective, noticeable benefits, you'd be smart to reach for this product. As a plus, it looks fantastic on my vanity table!
