Women still fighting for equality in Hollywood

As I read over the list of the Top 25 Movie Icon's, I start feeling a little left out. I am not a movie star by any means, though at one time I would have loved to try my luck, but with three children and a husband, the thrill of it all seems different. Not a single Top 25 is a woman. Not one! So instead of ranting and raving on how men are always the winners, I did a little research on the women in the movie industry and what icon's deserved to be on that list. In no particular order a few came screaming at me:

  • Molly McGrath (Goldie Hawn): Wildcats

  • Sally (Meg Ryan): When Harry Met Sally

  • Baby (Jennifer Grey): Dirty Dancing

  • Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn): Breakfast at Tiffany's

  • Brandon Teena (Hillary Swank): Boys Don't Cry

  • Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon): Legally Blonde

  • Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts): Pretty Woman

  • Annie Wilks (Kathy Bates): Misery

Who do you think deserves to be on the list?
