Beauty Guru: How to Create the Perfect Makeup Look for Christmas Eve

Where did the year go? The holidays are officially upon us and I know I'm super excited about them! One of my absolute favorite holidays is Christmas. Besides the excitement of getting up early to open presents (especially now I have a little girl to share that moment with!) Christmas Eve is just as fun. My Cuban family and I always get together the night before for a big party. There's plenty of great food that we spend all day cooking and awesome music to dance to. It's any wonder we're able to get up early the next morning! This kind of party calls for silvery eyes, dramatic liner, and a bold red lip. Want to know how to pull that off? No worries, I got you covered!

Step 1.

With a small, stiff makeup brush press on a gray shade across your lids. I used this one from Rimmel London GlamEyes Quad in Black Cab.

Step 2

Use your blending brush to sweep across your lids a darker grey shade. Doing this not only gives your eyes more depth of color but adds a little smoky affect to your look.

Step 3

To brighten up the rest of your eyes without taking away from your color, use your favorite nude shade to sweep across your brow bone and under the arches of your brows. I used Bliss from Smashbox.

Step 4

Now it's time for liner. I love using gel liners (like this one from Avon) because they add just the right amount of drama to your eyes with just one swipe. Start with a thin line from the inner corners of your upper lash line, gradually making it bigger until you get to the outer corners. On your lower lashline just do a thin line a quarter of the way in.

Step 5

Apply two coats of mascara, like the Max Volume Volume Flash Mascara from Rimmel London.

Step 6

Add a little color to those cheeks with a light, natural looking blush. Avon's cream blush in Pink Melon is my absolute favorite!

Step 7

What's a holiday party without some red lipstick? You don't want to go too bright because you don't want to compete with your eye color. Choose a softer shade but still has a rich color that's party ready. I picked Sizzling Red from Mary Kay.

Do your hair, throw on your party dress, and have fun because you are ready to go!

What makeup look will you be wearing to your next holiday shindig?
