Beauty Guru: Top 5 Beauty Stocking Stuffers

Top Five Beauty Stocking Stuffers

2013 has been a doozy of a year for a lot of people. Experiencing highs and lows publicly, personally and financially has left many just wanting to end the year on a high note surrounded by family and friends celebrating and relaxing. While lounging with relatives, spread some holiday cheer by giving them something they'll love and need, one of my affordable beauty stocking stuffers, and save the unnecessary debt for the days you play hooky from work to shop till you drop with your girlfriends.

Dr. Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution is a stupendous option to that much-needed massage. Infused with Eucalyptus Spearmint this product can soothe away the memories to bad days. Made for relaxation and relief, it calms and refreshes the senses while gently cleansing; best for any type of body, joint and muscle aches including headaches and arthritis. I would definitely slip this little gem into the stockings of those that have long commutes, walk or sit for extended periods of time, have highly stressful jobs and/or work with small children; $4.89 at Target.

For the uptight, stressed out CEO in your life, the traveler or anyone needing not be disturbed, The Bathery Spa Socks or Luxury Eye Mask is great for catching some Z's at home, holiday travel or visits with the in-laws (outlaws) when you just want some alone time. The eye mask comes with an adjustable Velcro strap and constructed to drown obtrusive light. The spa socks are warm and comfy enough to lounge around in all day featured at Target for $4.99 each.

Seems like every year the dreadful "hawk" comes earlier and earlier; blistering winds and the painful chill are enough to keep skin crackled. However, one of my favorite finds has proven to be a moisturizing God-send. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E in the 1.1oz jar is the cutest thing and smells of divine pure cocoa. It has a creamy, gritty texture, non-greasy purposed to heal and soften rough dry skin. I usually apply it to my lips after a shower and throughout the day. Before bed I put on my lips and awake to velvet softness. This product does wonders for anyone working outside during the winter months experiencing dry patchiness or calloused hands and heels. Small enough to carry in your purse or big loose workman pockets this is a steal at $1.47 at Dollar General.

Cosmetic Bags: SOHO London New York Beauty Essentials beauty bags and purse pals. The Put A Bling On It collection is actually what drew me to these hipster concoctions. These sparkly, studded makeup bags feature two organizers and are roomy enough for most ill-shaped cosmetics. The Mad Splatter Triple Purse collection also features the roomy, organized interior but fashionably designed with colorful paint splatter on the exterior. Both clutches are chic and modern enough to be used as primary handbags for a night on the town or the everyday grind. This is a gift for the teeny bopping trendsetter, the stylishly smart glamour girl, the jet setting traveler or thyself. $8.99-9.99 at Target.

For your pint-sized darling diva, Target's Minnie & You Minnie Mouse gift set includes a shimmery clear lip gloss, mini Eau de Toilette and disgustingly cute stickers to play with. Then there's Lip Smackers Best Flavor Forever gift pack which holds two sparkly nail polishes and two tasteful lip balms. They'll go crazy over the cuteness and you'll go bananas over the $5 price.

Honorable Mentions: Target's clearance section and end caps house a wonderland of affordable gifts: ELF's Chubby lipstick $1.48; ELF Ultimate Eyelash three piece set $3; ELF 14 piece Nail Polish set $9; ELF five piece lip gloss gift set $4.99; Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips $5.99; Conair Instant Heat Curling Iron $9.79; NYX gift sets three piece Mega Shine Lip gloss and Eye Lip combo's $9.99; Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm $6.99; Burts Bee's Lip Gloss $8.99; Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Travel Size Hand Lotions $1.84; LA Colors Little Black Book of Eye shadows great for the makeup maven that's just starting out $1; Chapstick 2 pack Chap Relief Lip Protectant and Aloe Vera Lip Balm two pack both $1; Hello Kitty Big Pink Bow Roll On Perfume $10 Sephora.
