4 Makeup Looks to Try This Weekend

I rarely wear makeup on the weekends. Call me lazy, but I can't seem to justify losing sleep on a Saturday to "put on" my face. (Sidebar: does anyone actually say that?) So I'll roll out of bed, splash water on my face, and go for that youthful(ish), natural look.

But the second I leave the house and take a look around I instantly regret it. Not a dark circle, blemish, or unpainted eye in sight … and that fresh face I was going for, just looks like I didn't try at all. (Which, admittedly, I didn't.) This happens to me all the time, and since sunglasses indoors are pretty lame, I need a better option. For help, I asked our Facebook readers if they wear makeup on the weekends, and if so, when? Reason to wear makeup no. 1: Meeting your girlfriends for brunch

Want to look naturally pretty? You can get a minimal makeup look with this tutorial -- it only takes four products. Reason to wear makeup no. 2: Date night

If you need a hot makeup look for your weekend date night, you'll want to put the focus on your eyes and lips. Try copying Kim Kardashian's smoky eyes. Or, um, Eva Mendes' entire face. If you're willing to go even further (ie: you're planning to show some more skin), check out this head-to-toe guide to complete your sexy look.

Reason to wear makeup no. 3: Going to church

According to this analysis of what your makeup says about you, pastel eyeshadow says you're demure and innocent -- perfect for a Sunday morning service. Copy Scarlett Johansson's makeup look by wearing a soft pastel shadow on your lids, dusting a rosy blush onto your cheeks, and keeping your lips clean and bare.

Reason to wear makeup no. 4: Walking the dog

Even if you're planning to stay at home all day, you might run into your cute neighbor when you're walking the dog or picking up the mail. So try this tip to at least make your eyes look pretty and wide awake -- it involves colored mascara. And if you're all about being natural, here's the best way to get glowing skin without using makeup.
