Nail Wraps are very chic right now!

Our favorite thing since sliced bread, nail wraps have made our lives totally easier. It's no secret that we're suckers for a good manicure, but unfortunately our skill level when it comes to nail art is nil. Nail wraps make our nails pretty, while ensuring a chip-proof, smudge-free application.

We got the chance to sit down with Zoe Pocock, Founder/Creative Director of Nail Rock, to get a step-by-step tutorial for applying nail wraps to ensure they have maximum impact.

    Start with room temperature hands
Who knew! If your hands are too cold or too warm, the nail wraps may not stay put for the full 10 days.

Use acetone to clean your nails
If anything (including hand cream) is left on your nails the wraps will start to peel off.

    Try to avoid cuticles
The best thing to do is to give yourself a manicure before you apply the wraps, but if you're in a rush just make sure to push down you

    Neutrogena's Pink Grapefruit face wash

Don't pretend you haven't done it. We have all, at one point or another, pulled off that scented strip in our favorite magazine to take a little whiff of the latest perfume. Perhaps you have even tried rubbing the paper on your wrist to transfer some of the fragrance. Don't worry there is nothing to be ashamed of, we have found some of our favorite fragrances that way and if you ask us it was a truly ingenious step in perfume advertising back in the '80s when scented ads first came onto the market.

This is probably why many advertisers are taking the next step and expanding the scented strip ads for perfumes to scented paper ads for household products, soap products and basically anything else you would buy because it smells nice.

According to GfK MRI Starch Advertising Research, 64 percent of readers actually read (and sniff) the scented paper ads which ask the consumer to "rub" or "scratch and sniff

  • Remedies for the Always Frightening Hat Hair

    Control your hat hair

You know exactly what we're talking about. The hair that went into the hat perfectly groomed, then emerged as a static, flat mess of an excuse for a 'do. It's enough to make you want to throw that hat right back on and never emerge. But there is hope, you just have to prepare yourself for those hat-essential days this winter.

First, before you slip on your hat, style your hair in a way that adds volume and body. If you add a boost at your roots you'll lock in volume that even that hat can't defeat. Also add a finishing product to your hairstyling routine. Finishing products, like Bumble and Bumble's Shine On Finishing Spray, create a barrier between your hair and the heat that the hat will lock in. This will make it so that once the hat is removed your hair will stay in place.

If you have awesome looking hair that has taken on the shape of the hat with the bottoms poofing out in a very unflattering

    Would you alter your behind?

It used to be that when a woman asked her significant other, 'Does this make my butt look big?' that the answer they were hoping to get was 'no'. Today the complete opposite is expected. Women want more curves and a bigger butt to accent their figures. So much so that they are willing to go to extremes to achieve what they believe will make their bodies look perfect.

Brazilian butt lifts have become the popular choice when it comes to butt enhancements. The process consists of transferring the patients' fat cells and inserting them to shape and create a fuller bottom. Side effects consists of swelling, bruising and some pain of course, but since your own fat cells are being injected patients don't run the risk of an allergic reaction, as opposed to getting an implant in which a foreign object is entering your body.

If the thought of having plastic surgery has crossed your mind, a lot of research and information

  • The Battle of Blondes Vs. Brunettes Ensues

    Would you go brunette?

According to a new study from England's University of Westminster, men find brunette women more attractive although they are more likely to hit on a blonde.

Apparently researches ran a controlled and scientific experiment by sending a woman to three different bars in London to report on how men reacted to her hair color when it was dyed red, brown or blonde. They then asked the 130 men to rank the woman's different appearances according to preference.

We admit, it doesn't sound like the most detailed experiment, but it seemed enough for the researchers who determined that the men found the woman more attractive and intelligent as a brunette.

Fact is, this was only one woman and different skin tones look better with different hair colors. So before you all run out and dye your blonde locks a deep chestnut we have to say that there are pros to both colors.

Hair stylists work to create Hunger Games looks

From Stanley Tucci's bright blue ponytail to Elizabeth Banks' pink curls, there are a lot of colors to anticipate in the March 23 premiere of The Hunger Games.

If you haven't caught on already, we are pretty excited over here about the film and we virtually gush over any new detail or tidbit that is released - including hair color!

Joico Guest Artist and Celebrity Stylist Cherry Petenbrink was the lead hair color designer for all of the leads and over 500 extra's in the film. She worked with Linda Flowers, hair department head, to create all of the famous looks notorious in the Capitol.

For Katniss' mute brown hair, Petenbrink was asked to create a flat, matte brunette shade that would "defy any trace of warmth."

"Jennifer actually likes the color," says Petenbrink. "She's still wearing it, even though she has finished filming!"

As for the over-the-top color in the Capitol, Patenbrink was

    Sarah and Poppy Burge
I don't know about you, but when I was 7 years-old all I wanted was a "My Size Barbie" for Christmas, but I guess Poppy Burge already has a real size Barbie in her mom, Sarah Burge, so she asked for the next best thing - liposuction. Surprisingly enough, she got it.

Her mother, a boasted plastic surgery addict, gave her daughter a voucher for liposuction as a gift after she had already given her a boob job voucher for her seventh birthday.

Burge has already been under fire for her extreme tactics, but she finds "nothing wrong" with what she is doing.

"She asks for surgery all the time. She wants to look good and lipo is one of those procedures that will always come in handy," she said. Wait, she is SEVEN isn't she?

"I see these vouchers as investing in her future - like saving money for her education."

Burge alone has spent £500,000 on plastic surgery and she seems to be instilling

    Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss

If you haven't been able to tell already, we are pretty excited for the March 23 release of The Hunger Games. But with only one movie trailer to go off of, we are starved for more sneak peeks into the film's beauty looks.

Luckily, we got the chance to hear from lead hairstylist on set, Linda Flowers. She spilled everything from how she created Katniss' signature braid to what was her favorite beauty look to work on. Hint:It's one we haven't seen yet!

Had you read the books before you had started working on The Hunger Games set? Were you excited to get to do the crazy hairstyles that they described in the book?

I did not read the books until I got assigned to do the movie and then I read all three and could not put them down. Yes, once I read the books I was so excited mostly because there where no guide lines of what this future looked like style wise so I knew I could be creative. Also

  • Beauty Banter: How Can I Stop My Eyeliner From Running?

Want a friend on the inside? Add us on Facebook to always stay in touch.

    Dear Beauty Banter,

I love eyeliner, but can't seem to find one that doesn't run by the end of the day. How can I keep my eyeliner from running?

    Sincerely,
    Gisella from Boston

    Dear Gisella,

In order to keep eyeliner from running and smearing, opt for liner formulas that offer stayproof wearability. Estee Lauder Doublewear Stay In Place Eye Pencil and Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencilshave waterproof benefits, and MAC Liquidlast Liners won't budge after drying. But regardless of which type of liner you end up choosing, foolproof it even more by painting a very sheer layer of liner "sealer" directly on top. This quick extra step will ensure maximum results so your liner will stay put until YOU decide to remove it. A good one to try is Benefit She Laq.

    Sincerely,
    Robin Schoen
