Kate Middleton Debuts Royal Baby Bump

Agan, a former waitress, is already the single mother of two, but her responsibilities as a royal lookalike call for her to wear a prosthetic baby bump. “As Kate grows, I will too—to be authentic I thought it was important,” Agan tells BBC News.

Though Agan didn't provide any dollar figures, the average run-of-the-mill fake baby bump made from silicone costs upwards of $600, and can be found in the dark corners of the online retail industry. Agan has had several sizes custom-made so she can portray the Duchess at all stages of her pregnancy. It hasn’t been an easy task, as Kate, now five months pregnant, has yet to make the transition into maternity wear.

"It's difficult at the moment as she's not big enough yet to change her entire wardrobe so

  • Jennifer Lawrence's Parents Are Awesome, That Explains It

J-Law with her parents at the Oscars. (Photo: Getty Images)There are so many reasons to love Jennifer Lawrence, or “J-Law,” as we affectionately refer to her at Shine, and now we know why this girl seems so down-to-earth: she has awesome parents.

“She’s talented and good at what she does but that doesn’t change who she is. She’s still Jen who happens to be good at acting,” her Mom said earlier this week of their Oscar-winning daughter.

In an adorable interview with their local Louisville TV station (video below), Jennifer’s family talks about how they help keep her in check despite Hollywood’s best efforts to make her into a diva. “We’re gonna try our best to keep her grounded and let her know that she’s not as cool as everybody says she is,” her brother Blaine jokes.

Her parents, Gary and Karen, have their values in the right in place; they’re the anti-Lohans. You won’t see them outside of a courtroom yelling at lawyers or partying at a club with their daughter. They’re honest about how difficult it is for them to see Jennifer picked apart in

The original post. (Photo: Facebook)“Wait wait wait wait! Ur a girl?!”

When Elise Andrew, the creator of the enormously popular Facebook Page “I F—ing Love Science” revealed on Wednesday that she is in fact female, she received thousands of comments from shocked fans and followers who simply assumed she was a dude, because only men like science.

“The entire thing has completely blown my mind. I've never kept my identity ‘secret,’ I just don't mention it every day. My name and profile are listed in the ‘about’ section, I've done numerous interviews all of which mention my age and gender,” Andrew told Yahoo! Shine. “I have no idea why it's being made a big deal of now, all I wanted was some cool names on Twitter to follow!”

The revelation came from a post with an accompanying profile photo to let her Facebook followers know she had joined Twitter. Two days later, another post acknowledging the controversy has received over 10,000 comments debating Andrew’s gender and the role of women in science.

  • The Most Honest, Beautiful, Heartbreaking Celebrity Baby Bump Photo Ever

The Family Photo. (Photo:'s Thursday afternoon, and I'm sitting at my desk, crying over Kristen Bell's baby bump.

On Wednesday Dax Shepard posted an essay on his Tumblr about his father, who recently passed away from cancer. At the end of the post, he shares a photo of his father with his hand on the belly of Shepard’s pregnant wife, Kirsten Bell.

“She lifted her shirt up and he put his hand on her swollen stomach. He left it there for the better part of an hour. He was smiling from ear to ear, sitting contently, unable to put together a sentence, but still capable of connecting to the new family member we were creating.”

Sadly, Shepard’s father didn’t get to see the birth—he passed away on December 31. “But that didn’t get in the way of him meeting the new baby,” Shepard writes. “It was an emotional and triumphant moment. One I will never forget. If I live to be a thousand, I will still be in debt to my wife for giving him that one last thrill.”

And I'm in debt to Dax Shepard for sharing such an unusually Read More »from The Most Honest, Beautiful, Heartbreaking Celebrity Baby Bump Photo Ever

  • "Death Wish Coffee" Boasts Most Caffeine In One Cup—But Is It Safe?

Drink at your own risk. (Photo: Death Wish Coffee)Your battle against caffeine-addiction just got that much more difficult. A coffee roaster in upstate New York has created “Death Wish Coffee,” the world’s strongest, which claims to have 200 percent more caffeine than your average cup of joe.

How Much Caffeine Would it Take to Kill a Person?

A single 12-ounce cup of coffee at Starbucks contains approximately 260 milligrams of caffeine according to EnergyFiend, a caffeine database. The same cup from Death Wish Coffee contains 520 milligrams, double the amount, and enough to give you some serious jitters.

“I had customers come in and say, ‘give me the strongest cup you got,’ and they wanted a darker roast,” Mike Brown, Death Wish's mad scientist, who also owns a coffeeshop in Pleasantdale, N.Y., told Yahoo! Shine. “I did some research and I blended the strongest beans in the world from Indonesia, Ethiopia, and South America.”

“Usually the lighter the roast, the more the caffeine,” Brown explains. “But most coffee drinkers prefer a darker

  • The Greek Island Where People Live to Be 90 – Is it the Coffee?

Greek boiled coffee may benefit your cardiovascular health. (Photo: Getty Images)Forget the expression “there must be something in the water.” As it turns out, the secret to longevity could be in a specific brew of coffee.

The Recipe for Preventing a Stroke: 1 Coffee, 4 Green Teas a Day

The Greek island Ikaria first made national news when The New York Times published an article about its inhabitants called “The Place Where People Forget to Die.” One percent of Ikaria’s inhabitants live well into their 90s (as compared to the rest of Europe’s .01 percent), and they tend to stay sharp and healthy until the very end.

The article pointed to a number of reasons why Ikarians live so long: lack of pollution, a diet heavy in fruits and vegetables, moderate consumption of wine, and, interestingly, coffee brewed by a method of boiling.

Because general coffee consumption has been previously associated with various health benefits including protection against type two diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and liver disease, researchers led by Dr. Gerasimos Siasos of the University of

  • Working Dads Claim They "Can't Have it All" Either

Fathers are juggling work and kids, too. (Photo: Getty Images)The debate over whether or not women “can have it all” has garnered passionate responses from women from all walks of life—but one group of people would like to remind you they too struggle with that work/life balance: dads!

“For once, I'd love to see powerful men in any field get bombarded with questions about finding balance between work and parenthood. How do they feel about missing the milestones?” Charlie Capen writes in “Working Dads Have Regrets Too.”

Capen is the blogger behind How to Be a Dad. In the piece, he writes that he recently attended the Dad 2.0 Summit, “an annual conference where marketers, social media leaders, and blogging parents connect to discuss the changing voice and perception of modern fatherhood.”

Doug French, of Laid-Off Dad, and John Pacini, founder of the Mom 2.0 Summit, are the founders of Dad 2.0. This year, speakers included Jason Avant, of Dad Centric, Carter Gaddis of Dad Scribe, Fred Goodall of Mocha Dad, Jim Higley of Bobblehead Dad, and many

  • Kate Middleton's High Heel Mishap and How to Avoid It

The Duchess of Cambridge gets a helping hand from her husband after her heel was stuck in a grate. (Photo: Getty Images)Breaking: a woman's heel got caught in a grate. It's only news because that woman is Kate Middleton. Heel accidents happen all the time but when you're the world's most famous mom-to-be it's front page news.

While attending the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Aldershot, Hampshire, the Duchess of Cambridge nearly lost her shoe after it got stuck in a grate. Luckily, her husband was standing at her side to offer her a steady hand—though he did have a little laugh at her expense as she worked to free her four-inch stiletto.

We've all been there. Sometimes it's a heel stuck in a grate, other times it's a stiletto slowly sinking into wet grass. Truth be told, those extra inches are health hazards if you're not careful.

We spoke to footwear expert Meghan Cleary, author of “Shoe Are You?” and “The Perfect Fit: What Your Shoes Say About You” about how to avoid the most common (and unfortunate) shoe disasters.

Make sure your shoes fit perfectly
“I can't say enough about this," says Cleary. "You
