As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their wee Bundle of Joy of Cambridge departed New Zealand and arrived in Sydney this morning, an obligatory wardrobe change was in order. Their first stop in Australia on Wednesday was Sydney's Opera House, which, for Kate Middleton, lent itself to a sherbet yellow dress with white paneling, custom-made by Roksanda Ilincic.

We dig the structured knee-length piece, but Prince William seemed to have other opinions. As the Duchess allegedly told a lady in the crowd: "William said I look like a banana." It's worth noting that this comes shortly after she wore an emerald green Erdem coat in New Zealand, about which she said: "I like it, but William thinks it is a bit bright."

Well, if we had dime for each time we wore something stylish that our male friends didn't enjoy, we'd have enough dimes to buy that Erdem coat for ourselves.

Summer is the official season of big-screen blockbusters, with superheroes being Hollywood's favorite action stars. Spiderman, Batman and Captain America have all had their box office heyday, but the real superhero to acknowledge next month is-you guessed it-your mom. (Awwww.) Apologies for being cheesy, but come on, you know your mom is truly a superhero. Not only does she probably cook and clean for you, but your mom is more than that. She's a mentor, a therapist and the person who puts up with your irrational rants (Or is that just my mom? Hi Mom!).

Mother's Day is coming up, so why not celebrate yours with a gift to show her she's really something special? Click through the slideshow above to see gift ideas fit for a superhero-all for under $50!

  • Eight Lessons in Wearing Earrings from Emma Watson

    by Maura Brannigan

A targeted Google deep dive will show that Emma Watson's portrayal of Hermione Granger had the literary heroine going earring-less until the series' sixth movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Of course, Watson has done an expert job at separating her burgeoning film career from her childhood franchise (This Is the End, anyone?)-partly through her now perfectly styled and quite grown-up red carpet appearances.

It was Watson's single Mise en Dior pearl earring-worn only in her left lobe-at the 2014 Golden Globes back in January that prompted us to keep a close watch on the 24-year-old's jewelry game. Throughout awards season and into the promotional tour for her new film Noah, she never ceased to impress us with the creativity and edginess of her cuff-heavy earring usage.

In honor of Emma Watson's 24th birthday today, click through the gallery above above to check out eight pictures of the star's impeccable earring game-and to shop similar versions of

Last Friday, Ellie Goulding captivated the Coachella crowd with a high-octane set that included some of her biggest hits-"Burn," "Anything Could Happen" and "Lights" among them. The British songstress has had a major couple of years by anyone's standards-for starters, Kate Middleton and Prince William hand-picked her to perform at their royal wedding in 2011. Over the past four years, she's also sold over five million albums and 15 million songs worldwide. And then there's the Divergent factor to consider; in addition to contributing one of the YA film adaptation's most memorable tracks, "Beating Heart," the pop superstar's also featured on the movie's score. Not too shabby for a 27-year-old.

I caught up with Goulding in her trailer just a few hours before she hit Coachella's main stage. Read on for the secrets behind her incredible, ever-changing hair looks, her thoughts on playing the royal wedding and why her involvement in Divergent left her longing for some new

  • From Bra Straps to Butterfly Clips: The 18 Hair Accessory Trends We'll Never Forget

    by Christa Lee

What's the perfect add-on to your beauty look? A hair accessory, of course! Just when you think you've seen it all, every year there seems to be a new "it" hair piece that rules the moment. In the '50s, a dainty bow-tied head scarf was perfectly housewife-chic. In the '60s and '70s, real flower crowns officially became the epitome of boho style-your outfit simply wasn't complete without a daisy topper. Fast-forward to the '90s and you had a bevy of creative hair charms and baubles, including butterfly clips, hair wraps and those infamous bra strap headbands (shudder).

While some of these accessories have cycled their way back into fashion, many have thankfully stayed in their decade for good. Above, in no particular order, you'll find the most memorable hair accessories of the last 50 years.

  • 15 Most Coachella-y Outfits from Coachella 2014

    by Alison Syrett Cleary

You know that scene in Mean Girls when Lindsay Lohan's character describes Halloween as a free pass for girls to wear lingerie in public without repercussion? Well, some Coachella attendees adhere to a similar mentality. Once the concerts kick off, anything goes: no one will mind if you spend the whole weekend in a string bikini, nor will they judge you for painting your body. Headdresses, neon wigs and see-through skirts start to feel jeans and white T-shirt basic.

So we can't really blame the 14 ladies (and one gent!) above-all decked out in some of the most intense festival regalia from this year's event-for getting wild with their Coachella outfits. We aren't exactly saying you should try these looks, of course, but we totally understand why someone might wear one for three freewheeling days of live music. When life gives you chance to frolic through a field in fur boots, a crochet bikini and flower crown without getting arrested then, well, why not?

  • Proenza Schouler X MAC: The Technicolor Collaboration We've Been Waiting For

    by Madeline Alford

We've been breathlessly awaiting Proenza Schouler's debut makeup line since MAC announced the collaboration in October, and finally the collection is here! The technicolor collection features limited-edition tie-dye packaging and embodies that California-surfer-girl vibe from the Proenza's spring 2010 collection.

According to the press release, "the cool cleverness of the Proenza Schouler woman is captured in a collection of confident color," and we couldn't agree more. The dynamic colors in the collection are vibrant and on-trend (no surprise there) featuring red-orange and nude lipsticks, deep plum nail lacquer, and a gorgeous ombré blush.

The collection is available at MACCosmetics.com beginning April 21, and at MAC counters from April 24 to May 22, with prices ranging from $18 to $39. Click through the slideshow above to see the full collection and choose which items you want to grab first!

  • Banana Republic's Latest Collaboration Might Just Be Their Best Yet!

We'll admit: we feel slightly bad for those big-name collaborations getting announced after the Holy Grail of all partnerships, Alexander Wang for H&M. But while we sit here and twiddle our thumbs until November (or, debate getting in line now), we would be remiss to not highlight a particular capsule collection that's sure to nab headlines.

Roland Mouret, known for his flattering, linear dresses, is designing a 25-piece line for Banana Republic, hitting stores worldwide in August. While dresses will undoubtedly serve as the collection's crème de la crème, Roland Mouret for Banana Republic will also feature skirts, tops, pants and sweaters, all in the designer's familiar colorblocked palette.

"It's not a copy of my clothes in a less expensive [version], but the experience of a fitted dress for the Banana Republic customer," Mouret said in an interview. "You should be

  • Celebs Who Look Amazing Without Makeup

    by Christa Lee

When I was a teenager, I wouldn't be caught dead without my lip gloss, blush, eyeshadow and eyeliner at all times. Now, even though I'm older, I'll admit I still don't feel 100 percent confident leaving the house without at least some of my "face" on-plus, my obsession with beauty products doesn't encourage me to go makeup-free very often.

While I can talk your ear off about how much you should buy this trendy, awesome orange lipstick or this cool blue eyeshadow, celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow and Zoe Saldana are making a strong case for embracing natural beauty in their latest Instagram selfies. I think the famous faces above make a good point: sometimes letting your skin take a breather is not only healthy, but can also be totally liberating.

Though I'm not suggesting you lay off all your beauty products for good (because what's the fun in that?), it's nice to see some stars prove that being comfortable in your own skin is just as attractive as a pretty red carpet
