  • Mind Sex -- The New Adultery

A woman in Italy just lost her husband because she thought about having sex with another guy. Yes, thought it.

A court decided that was enough evidence to give the guy an annulment. Anyone else thinking this sounds a bit too much like a bad Tom Cruise movie about futuristic cops who cuff you before you can commit a crime?

More from The Stir: Is Masturbation Adultery?

We've heard of emotional infidelity, but anyone who says they've never admired a person other than their spouse, maybe even felt a little tingling in their lady parts, is kidding themselves. It doesn't mean we're ready to jump in the sack. It means we're still a few pumps of blood short of needing female Viagra.

The real problem here is a guy who can't take his wife talking to him openly about her feelings. Buddy, it works both ways.

If a woman just thinking about another guy in her bed is enough to get this woman's marriage annulled, we're thinking the following are grounds for immediate divorce:

  • Everything You Know About Sleeping Through the Night Is Wrong

One of the most common questions asked to a mom of an infant is, "Is she a good sleeper?" Often what they actually are asking is, "Does she sleep long periods of time?" as if a baby who wakes up more frequently has a problem.

Our culture is very egocentric, and it shows in our parenting, as a lot of guides and cultural conditioning suggest that success as a parent is the ability to have an uninterrupted night. However, not only does this set parents up for unnecessary stress, but it's not even biologically sound thinking.

If we only expected from our babies what they were naturally designed to do, we'd have a lot less sleep struggles.

For example, "sleeping through the night" is a phrase thrown around often, but do you know what it actually refers to? Five hours. That's it. Sleeping through the night means a five-hour stretch. Once. What is being determined isn't if you laid down after brushing

kristen stewartkristen stewartFans of the Twilight series have been waiting eagerly for the Breaking Dawn movie to come out for lots of reasons, not the least of which is the Big Reveal of Bella Swan's dress for her wedding to Edward Cullen. But it's possible we have already seen the design for Bella's dress, and just didn't know it.

Awhile back, InStyle asked several well-known designers to sketch their visions of what Bella's dress might look like, based on Bella's mom's description of Bella looking like she "stepped out of an Austen movie" when she first sees her in the 1900s-style dress. (Jane Austen wrote in the early 1800s, but whatever, we don't look to Twilight for literary acumen.)

More from The Stir: Wedding Rings: Does Size Really Matter?

Different designers took this different ways: Some went very old-fashioned, others quite modern. But here's the intriguing part: Rumors are going around that Zac Posen will be the designer of Bella's dress for the movie version. And who contributed a
