  • Bouncing Off the Wallpaper

Wallpaper can work wonders in a kid's room - it's no wonder the trend is starting to stick.

LoboloupThe latest wallpaper we're obsessing over comes from Loboloup, a New York-based aunt-and-niece team, Nancy and Elizabeth Wolff. Nancy's background as a children's book illustrator is evident in the line's playful designs, from nautically inspired Ships and Sails to rollicking animal-centric Circus. The look is at once vintage and modern, with a hand-drawn style that makes a homey haven of even the starkest space.

    Available on, $175 per roll.

Animal HouseIf your little one is all about animals, try this Animal House wallpaper. Renowned since the 1950s for its bold fabrics, Finnish company Marimekko recently applied its graphic patterns to wallpaper. The comical Karkulaiset displays elephants, zebras, and flamingos - in cowboy boots.

    Available at, $199 for a 27-inch-by-33-foot roll.

Smear on the sunscreen; track down the sand bucket and shovel There's still time for a sandy getaway. We've found the best family friendly beaches from coast to coast.

    Ogunquit, MaineBest East Coast Charm

The Native Americans were spot on with their name for the slice of Maine coastline known as Ogunquit. It means "beautiful place by the sea." Amble along the Marginal Way (there are plenty of benches for little ones to park it on the way), soak in the view, and greet the fishermen (and ice cream cones) at Perkins Cove.

Afterward, wade out on the sandbar (take tots who haven't mastered doggie paddling yet).

Tear-jerking videos. World records. Ryan Lochte. There are so many reasons we're excited about the Olympics in London. That's why we dug through the Internet to find you these inspiring/weird/random facts to share with your viewing party during commercials.

    By the Numbers

Here's a quick rundown of the stats: 26 Olympic sports; 20 Paralympic sports; 10,490 Olympic athletes; 4,200 Paralympic athletes; 200,000 staffers; and an estimated 500,000 spectators per day.

  • Eyeglasses Fit for Your Face

Lately, the letters E P Q T C V are looking a lot more like O H C R A P. Your peepers need some love - in the form of glasses. We consulted the experts at Fabulous Fanny's, an amazing vintage eye wear store in Manhattan, where - rumor has it - Lady Gaga sources her specs.

Samuel from Fabulous Fanny's says there are four rules you want to follow when picking out the perfect frames for your face.

    Rule 1

    1) Match the edge of the frame to your hairline.

    Rule 2

    2) You want your eyebrows to sit above the top of the frames. You don't want to be able to see your eyebrow in the lens.

Summer Accessories That Outshine the Sun

    Rule 3

    3) You want your eyes to be as close to the center of the lens as possible.

    Rule 4

    4) Make sure the frame doesn't rest on your cheeks.

Beyond that, whatever you find that fits and feels good is fair game!
