Dating is not easy. We all know that. If it were easy, people would be happily with someone all the time. Problems would not exist. Issues would not emerge. Dating is not easy because people get nervous, losing themselves in their own worries.

Did I say the right thing? Did I say the wrong thing? Did I sound like a complete idiot?

Instead of throwing yourself into the lion's den, there are other alternatives to break the ice, lay some ground work, and ease into that scary thing we call dating.

Here is a look at some alternatives.

    Online Dating

If you have trouble meeting people or prefer to sit on the sidelines and watch other people interact, this is probably your best bet. Not everyone is good at going out and meeting people face to face. Not everyone can just walk up to a total stranger and start a conversation. Like I said above, it isn't easy. Online dating will allow you to get all the

It's truly difficult to picture life without a certain someone. The time you have spent with that person can overshadow anything; making it an impossible task to envision what it would be like if one day they were gone. But life never stands still. It always goes on. Relationships don't always work out, people leave, and life unfortunately needs to continue without that one person you thought you couldn't live without.

Relationships can be strange. You can spend so much time caring about someone, months on end, and one day you can wake up and those feelings could merely be a distant memory. What seemed like forever transformed into temporary. What seemed like love disappeared into the unknown.

Are we cheating when we date more than one person at a time? I think it depends on the rules and how long you have been dating. If no rules have been established, it might be fair game to date other people - and even hook up. This philosophy might get some of you guys and girls into trouble. However, if you want exclusivity, you might ask your partner to earn it.

Dating multiple people boils down to your ethics and your beliefs of what is right and wrong. Some people don't feel comfortable dating more than one person at a time. It's easy to get mixed up when dating multiple people. Keeping track of what to say and when to go out can cause aggravation and stress. If one of your dates finds out about the other, you might be in for quite a mess.

When dealing with other people's emotions, things get complicated and intricate. If your rules allow for it, then I say go for it and clarify that within your relationship. On

Does Your Gay Best Friend Get in the Middle of Your Relationship? Does Your Gay Best Friend Get in the Middle of Your Relationship?

Ever since the world was introduced to the popular TV show, Will & Grace, it seemed like everyone had to run out and get themselves a great gay sidekick. Now having a gay character in any TV or movie is as essential as having a killer soundtrack. As someone that didn't watch the TV show when it was on the air, I did manage to catch a particular episode where the characters were having an argument because one of the character's had a brand new relationship and the attention was being distributed differently. It then brought up the question…is having a gay best friend good or bad for your romantic relationship?

In many straight relationships, there will come a time when after that honeymoon phase is over, you will find yourself wanting to do things that don't involve being in a couple; almost reverting back to your single days. Like, going shopping, brunch with your friends and or even that occasional, "night on the town

Can a Failed Relationship Turn Into a Great Friendship? Can a Failed Relationship Turn Into a Great Friendship?

There are two general reasons we tend to call it off: the first is that our significant other has done something horrible and unmentionable, so much so it is no longer possible to spend time or share a living space with them. The second is that the fundamental elements of our lives -- personalities, living or occupational situation - have shifted from the initial dynamics of when our relationship began. Either way, whether the break up is bitter or mutual, there are emotions that remain, be it anger, jealousy, or, in most occurrences, love.

I remember the first time my ex and I spent time together post-breakup, and I can completely recall it, from the time of day to the posters hanging on my wall. Our break-up was equal parts bitter and mutual, and touched on every possible emotion. It was, to say the least, brutal. Sitting in my bedroom, a room that just a week or month

How Did I Get So Lucky?!How Did I Get So Lucky?!

At times I have asked myself "How did I get here? Why am I the lucky one that after so many years of heartbreak, I found myself in the most amazing relationship?" The reason I ask myself this question is because before I found my current relationship, there was a time I did not think I would ever get there. But I got lucky and I ended up with the most beautiful soul I have ever met. I made a few changes to how I approached my love life. I think these simple changes that worked for me would be beneficial to anyone seeking their other half.

For many years I dated the wrong person and went through many month-long relationships. I literally had to sit down with my self and figure out what was wrong with what I was doing. At the end of the day I had to realize just going through life and hoping someone would stick around was not enough for me.

Movies always make me really think. I escape into my own reality, creating a life away from my own. I laugh cheerfully during comedies and sit at the edge of my seat during a car chase in an action movie. I allow myself to be captivated in an overwhelmingly powerful drama while I admittedly keep my hands to my face and watch through the cracks of my fingers during a horror film.

Movies have always had a big effect on me and I have always been inclined to share that effect with anyone I care about. Movies have this strange ability to motivate us into feeling certain ways, altering our moods, changing our outlook on life itself.

Here is a look at several movies that will affect you and your partner in very different ways.

What is a Real Man, Anyway? What is a Real Man, Anyway?

A real man doesn't lie. A real man doesn't cheat. A real man knows what he wants and goes after it. A real man will kiss my feet and the ground I walk on.

Guys, ever heard of this? Ladies, ever said or believed this? While women often feel objectified and only valued by outer appearances, it seems we ladies are just as guilty as over-romanticizing an ideal man. It leaves us disappointed and leaves the good men, yes there are real good men, at bay. So if you find a man with all the qualities you've ever wanted him in a man, to avoid a rude awakening, expect him to do the following.

    A real man…

Gets annoyed. Especially when you want his attention during that football game or when he is playing video games. Come on ladies, you know his video gaming time is precious and you knew all week about that game. That is not the moment to test his devotion to you, in fact, you're likely to lose his attention to that game, his

"You need to laugh at everything. That way, you will keep the distance from events and you will be able to move on."

Are you ready to move on? You may have had something I call a "special connection" or "magic". So how do you click with someone new knowing that what you had with your ex cannot, or could never, be repeated?

A special connection is something only you and your significant other share. It might be the first place you went out that was amazing or it might be the funny little things your partner does that make only you laugh. You might both love the same music or find similar things interesting. Regardless, you will have to let go of all of that to make room for someone new to share experiences with.

As the Olympics are well under their way, I was watching the Boxing matches and for some reason, my mind went to think how boxing and relationships go hand in hand. In boxing, we have two opponents on opposite sides of the ring, both ready to meet in the middle and duke it out until there is only one person standing. When arguing in relationships, it is eerie how similar the sport and the arguing we do are almost identical. Sure, there are no gloves or referees involved but it got me thinking…is arguing good or bad for the relationship?

When it comes to relationships there is the classic saying that is best to never go to bed angry. I firmly believe that to be true.

    For a few reasons:

One: You get a better night rest for yourself.

Two: You don't wake up the next day facing another bad day because you didn't resolve your issue from the night before.

There are so many types of arguments that occur in a
