Courtesy Photo (2), Brandin Shaeffer, ABCNow that's one way to get us excited for the upcoming season of Revenge! After watching the promo for the show's third season above, so many questions ran through our minds. Who shot Emily Thorne? Will she bounce back, or is this the end? And most importantly-was that a wedding dress she had on? We were too eager to wait for the premiere on September 29 to find out, so we just had to call up costume designer Jill Ohannesson to get all the details on the dress. Her secret for finding the perfect one? Design it herself. "After hearing about what would happen, the dress required so many elements that I knew we weren't going to find any one piece that would do everything we needed, and since we had three weeks of prep time at the beginning, I found the fabric, did three or four sketches, and designed it myself," she told InStyle.com exclusively. "I know Emily likes very slim silhouettes, but I also knew the producers and directors wanted the fabric to float around her when she fell intoRead More »from Revenge Costume Designer Jill Ohannesson Spills Exclusive Details on Emily Thorne’s Wedding Dress

We spotted two new additions on Jennifer Love Hewitt's digits last night at the Pamper's Love, Sleep, & Play event last night, held at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. After announcing her engagement in June, we couldn't help but notice Hewitt's new thin wedding band adorning her rock, which posed the question: Did she have a secret wedding? And that wasn't her only fun piece of finger flair. Her patterned manicure-which would be a perfect fit for Oxygen's just-announced nail art reality show, Nailed It-was full of eye-grabbing details. "I went to this nail place and I was like 'Do whatever you want, I just want to feel girly and cute,' and this is what they did," the star told InStyle.com at the event, which featured 3D projections of babies across the very busy Vanderbilt Hall at the terminal. "They're crazy! They're absolutely crazy." But not too crazy, thankfully. Because of the crisp white-on-nude color palette, the effect isn't busy, even with the 3D embellishments.

Courtesty (2)Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion has long been a staple in makeup bags worldwide since its launch in 1968, but who knew its trademark yellow shade looked so pretty when re-purposed as nail polish? To celebrate the new ultra-hydrating formula of the brand's hero product, Clinique has created a limited-edition nail lacquer, which they've aptly-named Yellow Genius. In addition to mirroring the lotion's iconic pale lemon color, the nail polish boasts skincare benefits of its own - the formula was developed specifically for sensitive skin types, so it won't trigger any unexpected reactions around your cuticle area, or if you happen to rub your eyes. Find the limited-edition Yellow Genius lacquer for $12.50 at clinique.com, then click the photo to see more August launches rolling out to stores this month.

Instagram/badgalriri; Instagram/beyonceLike Rihanna and Beyonce, we've all fallen prey to the selfie phenomenon, but before you click and (more importantly) send, follow this expert advice on how to look your best. Chris Schoenbohm, photographer and co-founder of the app Viewfinder, advises shooting at eye level or above for portraits and in a soft, flattering light. Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, a facial plastic surgeon recommends "smiling with your eyes" - or "smize" as Tyra Banks once put it. "A fake smile is just your mouth. A true smile is when your whole face is laughing," says Spiegel. "Think about sending energy to your eyes or smiling with your eyes, and your beauty will shine into the photograph." And if your hair often looks flat in photos, never fear, your styling skills aren't to blame. Photographer Patrick McMullan adds, "The camera tends to shrink hair in photos." To compensate, dig your fingers into your crown to scrunch hair, or flip your whole head upside down right before the shot. Courtesy; WireImage; FilmMagicLily Collins' sleek half-updo at the premiere of The Mortal Instrument is the exact look we're craving right now-fall always calls for more polish. We caught up with her stylist, Mara Roszak and got the play-by-play on how she created the look. "Lily wore an incredible leather, structured dress by Cushnie et Ochs. I knew I wanted the hair to have a graphic feel with lots of shine," Roszak told us. She started by sectioning her hair deep to the side and then applied Leonor Greyl Mousse au Lotus Volumatrice ($46 at leonorgreyl-usa.com) to Lily's damp hair and blow-dried it straight. "For an extra sleek look, I flat ironed each section straight down with no bend," said Roszak. She used Leonor Greyl Gel a l'Hibiscus ($35 at leonorgreyl-usa.com) to slick back the sides of the hair and pinned it in the back, leaving the back section down. As a final step to ensure staying power, Roszak misted hair spray all over the head. We especially love the makeup details like sexy, oxblood lips andRead More »from Get the Look: Lily Collin's Sleek Half-Updo

Getty Images (2) Adam Taylor/NBCStarting today, multiple country stars are auctioning off outfits they wore to special events to charity. Cori McFadden, founder of the luxury consignment service eDrop-Off, and Trish Townsend, stylist to Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton, came up with the idea to raise money to help people affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma. "My heart was crushed for those families," Townsend told InStyle.com. "When I asked friends in Nashville for donations, they were so generous. It just shows how fashion can really make a difference." You can bid for a chance to own Carrie Underwood's 2013 CMT Awards gown by Georges Chakra, Miranda Lambert's 2013 ACM dress by Jovani, Blake Shelton's outfit from The Voice blind auditions, plus items from Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean and the Rascal Flatts. Go to shopedropoff.com starting today through August 18 to bid - 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross to rebuild Oklahoma.
