It's becoming a thing now for brands to release their ad campaigns via social media instead of the traditional methods, like Oscar de la Renta did with their fall ads on Instagram. It's different, and it creates buzz. Now J.Crew is throwing their hat into the ring (a Panama hat? a floral baseball cap?) by pushing their September style guide onto Pinterest before releasing it anywhere else.
It makes sense for the brand, since their style guides' perfectly eclectic, meticulously mixed outfits-sequin skirts and plaid button-downs! baseball caps and shift dresses!-always rank high among Pinterest's most popular. But it's also good for pinners, who are not only able to see the images first but also able to shop the products before they're available in stores or online, tomorrow, August 21.
