Japan's beauty trend, dubbed "tseuke-yaeba," has reached a fever pitch, with young women paying hundreds for snaggleteeth.

Bagelheads: Shocking New Trend in Japan

The procedure first made headlines in 2011, but since then, it has grown in popularity, even spawning a Japanese pop girl group whose members sport the snaggletooth look. The girl group, TYB48 or "Tseuke-Yaeba 48," was created by the Taro Masuoka--the very same dentist who pioneered the procedure.

"A lot of my patients are fashion-conscious and very cute. I wanted to find some way to take advantage of this, so I formed TYB48," Masuoka, of Tokyo's Pure Cure dental salon, told Japan Today.

The group-whose debut album, seriously titled "Mind If I Bite?" dropped last April-turned the child-like vampire mouth

  • Would You Wear Donuts on Your Boobs? If Rebel Wilson Says So!

Rebel models the cupcake shirt.Actress Rebel Wilson burst on the Hollywood scene as Kristen Wig's bitchy roommate in Bridesmaids ("At first I did not know it was your diary. I thought it was a very sad handwritten book") and showcased her comedy chops as Pitch Perfect's Fat Amy. ("Why do you call yourself Fat Amy?" "So twig bitches like you don't do it behind my back.")

On Sunday, Wilson added fashion designer to her list of talents, via Twitter announcement. "If you need some cupcake or donut power in your life, check out my t-shirt experiment site:"

The Fat Mandi line, named for one of Rebel's sketch comedy characters, features two t-shirts: one with donuts and the other with cupcakes with both pastries placed strategically over the boob area. But sorry "twig" ladies, these shirts only come in size 12 and up.

Great, now I want a cupcake.Rebel recommends the shirts are great for "bludging on the couch." [Ed note: bludging is Australian slang for relaxing or vegging out. Add that one to your vocabulary.]

  • The Power Puff Girls Get a Barbie Makeover. Latisse much?

The new, girlier Power Puff Girls. The Power Puff Girls are back and they've had some work done. The cartoon superheros made famous over a decade ago for turning animated crime-fighting into a girl's game, will return to Cartoon Network for a special  airing later this year.

Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup will be bringing back the sugar and spice, but there's also a new ingredient in their Chemical X potion: Mascara. We noticed the doe-eyed crime-fighters got a Barbie makeover for their return to the small screen. They're now sporting longer eyelashes and salon-style haircuts. • Gluten-free Diet or Veiled Eating Disorder?

Gluten-free: trendy diet or something more serious? The gluten-free diet has become a popular trend, not in its original incarnation as a recourse for gluten-intolerant people with Celiac Disease, but as solution for people with the murkily defined "gluten sensitivity," or those who want to lose weight. And now some experts are saying that in fact, "gluten free" may be an especially convenient cloak for an eating disorder.

Restricting Gluten Conveniently Restricts Almost Everything

There's gluten in nearly everything. Aside from the obvious things like bread, pasta, and pizza, you'll also find it in many sauces, medications, pickles, cheese, French fries, even hot chocolate. In many restaurants, or homes of friends, forgoing gluten means forgoing dinner, the perfect scenario if one's goal is to eat less, or not at all.

    It's Socially Acceptable

"If someone with an eating disorder went to a party, he or she could get out of eating a lot of things like cookies, cake, or pizza simply by claiming gluten intolerance," Laura Meagher, an RN

  • Rosie SchaapThe golden age of drinking has returned with retro vengeance, and though men have warming bar stools since the dawn of humankind, there's still a stigma associated with women who dare to go to bars unaccompanied. In a series of essays about her personal experience both in front and behind the bar, author Rosie Schaap in her new book "Drinking with Men," argues that there's much to be gained in becoming a 'regular,' whatever your gender. In your local bar, you can find a place to relax, be yourself, and foster close friendships - all of course, with the help of a little alcohol.

I have always wanted to be brave enough to walk into a bar alone and have a drink alone, but I've only done it once or twice. What's the secret?

It's understandable that you feel uncomfortable going to a bar alone. We all have social anxiety, but there are really terrible stereotypes connected to women in particular drinking alone, that they want to get their drinks paid for or that they're there to hook up.
