  • Fierce Fashion News: Rachel Roy Takes Fashion Transformation to Another Level!

When it comes to fashion the versatility of a piece ranks super high with me! As much as I would love to have a mega closet of everything, my wallet says otherwise so I always look for something that can be worn many different ways!

Even though it's currently out of my price range, I'm still a fan of Rachel Roy and her affordable line Rachel Rachel Roy. The clothes are always stunning and chic and compared to her regular line, it really is affordable! This time around, the designer is taking the concept of "transforming your look" to a whole other level! Taking a cue from the Transformer coat in the past collections, this season she's coming with the new Transformer jacket ($159) and Transformer Dress ($159) . The jacket screams "modern biker chick" while the dress is definitely edgy and takes the right personality to rock it!

How does it all work? See for yourself! And oh, after the video, you can vote to determine the outcome of the next video (i.e Girl's Night or

  • The Disney Pop Princess Collection from Dooney & Bourke

I have a very special place in my heart for both for Disney and Dooney & Bourke. Disney World Orlando was where my husband and I took our first trip together as single couple and a married couple. My first designer handbag was a Dooney & Bourke under the shoulder bag given to me by none other than - my husband!

So they must have had us in mind when they decided to collaborate together and create the Disney Pop Princess collection ! These super cute limited edition bags feature some of the biggest names in Disney Princess land - Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Belle. The patterns are really cool and doesn't look like something a little kid would wear, making it appropriate for us grown up little kids (like me)!

Just take a look for yourselves and let me know what you think! (The Princess Tote is my favorite!)

  • User post: Fun Just Like Candy! A Review of Hard Candy Cosmetics

I'm always down for beauty at a bargain, especially when it comes to cosmetics. Unless it's foundation, which is something I feel is worth splurging on, I'm always up to giving wallet friendly makeup a try. Hard Candy isn't any different! Sold exclusively at Walmart with an average price of $6.00, its totally affordable offering a wide array of products. I had the fun job of reviewing some of their stuff!

    Blush Crush - Baked Blush

Slowly but surely I've been getting on the blush train only because I never fail to create a mess with loose powders! This blush however, has been baked for eight hours, resulting in a texture that makes it easy to get just the right amount without dousing your face in it! For more dramatic color, you can apply with a wet brush. The color I tried out was Living Doll and though it looks super-pinkish, just a little of it really brings out a nice glow in my skin! Gotta love that!

  • Marcia Gay Harden Rocking a Nooni Clutch

I know some of you ladies may never heard of Nooni before, but when I received this photo of Marica Gay Harden (of whom you seen in many movies such as Meet Joe Black and Whip It) with this gorgeous clutch before her appearance on "The Today Show" back on August 4 th , I just had to share!

    Nooni
is the brain child of Vicki Vlachakis, who takes her design inspiration from her former position as a designer in the automotive industry. After designing for companies such as Mercedes Benz and GM, she started Nooni, which is new to the fashion scene.

I think the clutch is super cute and the color just pops against her Little Black Dress.

What do you ladies think? Yay or nay on the clutch?

  • CLEAR Skin Care Products from Paula’s Choice

I recently gave you ladies some good skin care tips from expert Paula Begoun about what do when it comes to stubborn acne. As promised, I'm putting in my two cents when it comes to her CLEAR Skin care products, which is made especially for my ladies with acne. Though I don't personally have an acne problem, I did test out the three products in this collection (very sparingly!) for a week to give you ladies a general feel before you check it out for yourself!

CLEAR Normalizing Cleanser Retail Price: $10.95

This is the first step in the 3 part product process. The Normalizing Cleanser is a gel that aims to fight against acne and blemishing without the drying and irritating ingredients. It also has antibacterial and soothing agents to help reduce facial redness. One thing I liked about the cleanser was that it was a gel which made it very nice to use on my skin. It did a good job in cleansing my face and sucking out the oil from pesky T-zone! However, because I have

  • User post: Five Great Hair Products for Relaxed Hair

If you remember my Yahoo! Shine Beauty Guru post about naming your beauty obsession you know mine is all about the hair! Being that my hair is relaxed (which may be changing at the end of the year! I'll keep you posted!) it requires extra attention so I always need the right products on hand. The key factors I look at when it comes to products is the conditioning factor, the greasiness factor, and the weight factor because my fine hair will act up if those standards are not met! Here are the five products that I work great on my relaxed hair!

    Motions Lavish Conditioning Shampoo

As hard I as try to expand my shampoo horizons, none of them seem to compare to this one! It gives the conditioning my hair needs and doesn't dry it out. My hair is soft after the first lather! It also doesn't take much to get the job done which is something my wallet loves!

    Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayo

This has been the best deep conditioner I've used to date! This conditioner

  • User post: Friend Friday: Size in Fashion

    It's Friday!!!

This topic came about when Katy from Modly Chic and I were talking about two posts that I and a fellow Yahoo! Shine Community blogger had written. My post was showcasing plus size fashion from Monif C and the other was about Saks offering plus size designer clothing . Some of the comments were positive but the negative ones were too hard to ignore and the topic of size in fashion is definitely one worth discussing!

Make sure you check out what my fellow bloggers have to say and if you're interested in participating in Friend Fridays (courtesy of Modly Chic!), go here for the info!

Should someone's size stop them from fashion blogging or having a voice in the community?

Absolutely not!! Fashion isn't limited to one particular size. Every woman, regardless of her size, has a right to have her say when it comes to fashion.

In your opinion, can the term "curvy" and "plus-sized" be used interchangeably when it comes to fashion?

    As a

  • Tips for Rocking Those High Heels (and Not the Pain!)

Jimmy ChooJimmy ChooAs a fellow lover of anything Stiletto, I know that wearing heels over long periods of time can cause some adverse effects. You know that deep, burning pain that can result from trying to be cute in heels that has you limping crazy at the end of the night. What you may not know is that according to researchers, wearing those high heels all the time can cause your calf muscles to shorten on top of everything else! It surely doesn't come to a surprise but yet, many of us ladies aren't ready to give up on those heels just yet!

To help us out on alleviating some of the pain that comes with wearing our 4 inch high loves, I've turned to Manhattan-based podiatrist Dr. Oliver Zong once again. As the Director of Surgery at NYC FOOTCARE and part of the Board of Directors at Gramercy Park Surgery Center. Dr. Zong has seen his fair share of hurting high-heel loving ladies and has five great tips on how to rock our heels without the pain!

    1. Invest in good heels. That's right, the
