If a salesperson tells me the purse I've been repeatedly posing with in front of the mirror (over the shoulder, then two hands on one handle, followed by crook of my arm, rinse and repeat) is the perfect weekday/going-out/whatever bag, it's hard not to roll my eyes. Really? The perfect bag? Such things don't exist! Let's take my work days, for instance: sometimes I need extra room to accommodate my sneakers and spandex for evening sessions at the gym. But whenever I'm running straight from my desk to drinks and dinner, I'd like to carry something smaller. Bulky totes look pretty silly hanging on the backs of bar chairs.
I don't subscribe to owning just one clutch for parties, either, or spend every weekend with the same crossbody slung across my chest. Life's just too unpredictable for such a limited selection; it's better to have a few sizes on hand for every situation. Then, if my last-minute decision to squeeze in a KIND bar (because what if they aren'tRead More »from Stuffed to the Gills: Handbags that Can Fit Whatever You're Carrying

Adidas x Raf Simons Ozweego 2, $390; barneys.com
Adidas is known for their edgy collaborations with brands like Jeremy Scott and Opening Ceremony. Now comes a footwear collection with Raf Simons which, having debuted at the designer's fall 2013 runway show, just hit stores. Simons revisited a popular '90s running series, the Ozweego 2 model, but added his own spin with new handsome colorways. And here's the best part-it's unisex. If it's good enough for A$AP Rocky-who was spotted sporting them back in January-it's good enough for me.

I love a good trend as much as the next girl, but I still needed the very basic wardrobe staples to mix-and-match in a cohesive, organized, well-edited closet. Out went the well-worn rejects, the college stragglers, the clothes that defined a person I used to be. And then instead of buying more of the same, I made a list of everything I was lacking. If I came across an item on that list, I'd buy it. If not, I waited it out. So in that spirit, I put together a guide of versatile Fall basics that can serve as the basis of an entire wardrobe. Although it's generally believed that fashion basics should be of the best quality you can afford - they're supposed to last! - I know $175 on jeans and $200 on a dress isn't exactly reasonable for a lot us (myself included). That's why everything on this list is under $100, with most being under $50.

Naomi Watts in character on the set of While discussing her transformation into Princess Diana last summer, actress Naomi Watts revealed that there were moments on the set of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Diana biopic when she felt the "presence" of the late People's Princess. Now, in a new interview, the Oscar-nominated actress goes into more detail about her spiritual connection and slight obsession with the late royal, who happens to be this month's V.F. cover star.
"There were definitely moments when I felt Diana's presence-I dreamed about her a lot, too, and that's a first," Watts recalled in an interview with the Mail. "I kept wondering to myself: 'Would she have liked it?' So I found myself constantly asking for her permission to carry on. I had saturated myself with Diana and her life and I felt this enormous responsibility of playing this iconic woman."
It has previously been reported that Watts wore dresses from Diana's own wardrobe, studied with a voice coach to mimic her voice, worked to emulate her body

The turban headband/scarf trend is everywhere right now. I'm not complaining - it's one of my favorite looks! They are perfect for those days when the top of your bangs are getting oily but the rest of your hair still looks fabulous (that happens to you too, right?). They look great with your hair up or down, straight or wavy! I looked for one at a few stores recently but I couldn't find one that I liked-most of them were flimsy and just looked like a little silky puff on top of my head. So, I took matters into my own hands and just made one! It was quick and easy to make, but the best part was it cost me less than $2! And now I have them in all my favorite colors and prints, for a fraction of the price.

While it's really thrilling to catch another glimpse of royal baby George Alexander in the just released photo below, we're more preoccupied with how amazing his mother, Kate Middleton, looks. Her skin is glowy, her hair is glossy and, most importantly, her huge smile is truly genuine. Motherhood really suits her. (As does that shade of wineberry-everyone with K-Mid's coloring needs to order something in the same hue, STAT!)

Maternal bliss aside, another reason the Duchess looks so relaxed and happy in this idyllic family portrait is because the picture was taken not by a team of professionals but by her father, Michael Middleton, on her family's estate in Bucklebury, West Berkshire. She and her new son, husband and Lupo (that adorable black cocker spaniel to the left), have been spending a lot of time there recently to for some post-birth R&R before moving home. We

All jewelry shopping is fun: hunting for the right statement necklace to amp up a cocktail dress, carefully weighing the investment on a grown-up watch, even salivating over "price upon request" bling with no actual purchase in mind. But shopping for basic rings-the non-sparkly, non-colored, just metal variety-is maybe the most fun, because it needs the least amount of "how will I wear this?" mind-racking.
Think about it: necklaces can clash with different necklines and bracelets can get tucked under sleeves, but your hands are always on display, so you end up getting the most wear out of a ring. And if you find one that's simple yet interesting, like these gold rings above, you'll not only be able to wear it everyday, you'll want to, too.
Stick to a slight variation on the classic band, or choose one with a cool design like studs, rope or skulls woven into it. Either way, on close inspection, the ring you pick will speak to your personality, but at arm'sRead More »from 13 Simple and Gorgeous Gold Rings You'll Wear Every Day

To whip her into shape for her role as Johanna Mason, the cunning District 7 tribute in the second installment of The Hunger Games trilogy (due out in November), actress Jena Malone required a fleet of fitness pros: A stunt team to provide her with the martial arts training she'd need for the film's challenging action sequences-shot across land and water in Hawaii earlier this year-and a personal trainer to sculpt her body into a formidable fighting machine. "She has this intensity," says Malone of her character's steely physical and mental fortitude. "She can walk into a room and stare you to death."
With that in mind, on-set makeup artist Nikoletta Skarlatos gave Johanna extreme lashes and heavily shadowed lids in shades of "warrior" green and gold for her early scenes in Panem's Capitol; the choppy brunette bob she adopts later in the wild, on the other hand, was Malone's own handiwork. "I cut it [myself]," she admits with a laugh.
