courtesy of Keds I've always liked Taylor Swift (I Knew You Were Trouble is kind of my summer anthem) but I'm an even bigger fan now, after seeing the adorable outtakes from her new Keds campaign.
After talking about her obsession with Law & Order, she joked about where she falls in the socks vs. no socks look when wearing Keds. "I think there are really two kinds of people in the world," she said, trying to maintain a straight face. "People who wear socks with Keds and people that don't."

She tried really hard to keep it together but her interviewer, fashion stylist Zanna Roberts Rassi, didn't laugh, she lost it. "You're like, 'she's insane!'" Taylor said.
Check out the video and if you want to skip ahead to the good stuff, start at the :45 second mark.
I hope we get to see more of this side of Taylor Swift, don't you? I love a celeb that's willing to make fun of themselves and not try to be taken so seriously all the time.

Several months back, we learned that glitter-loving pop superstar Ke$ha had been tapped to design a collection for Florida-based jewelry brand Charles Albert. Now, the "Crazy Kids" singer's wares have finally dropped-and shockingly, unlike 99.999 percent of what the celeb sports on the red carpet, her jewels are utterly wearable. Oh, except for the penises.
Yep, among the items on offer are charms, earrings and pendants shaped like a certain part of the male anatomy. Those, while bound to make for perfect bachelorette party favors, might not be an ideal accessory choice for your next 9 am office meeting. As for the colorful carved rose rings, skull-shaped studs, shark teeth charms and bold arrowheads (a Charles Albert signature), however? Those we'd wear in less time than it takes their infamous creator to brush her teeth with a bottle of Jack.

Open up any "style guide" and you'll be met with a long list of wardrobe essentials that "every woman should own." A trench, an LBD, a pair of ballet flats, a white button down, a string of pearls, the list goes on.
While we're not saying those items aren't classic, versatile, and often very necessary, we also think every women already knows how valuable they are. It's hackneyed to tell us we need a classic trench, when we've been told that since we were old enough to read fashion magazines.
Plus, let's be honest: Times are changing. While women still value the importance of looking polished, sophisticated, and timeless, we also want to look unique and modern-something that's difficult to do while wearing dime-a-dozen ballet flats and classic trenches, for example. When every women is told they need the same thing, we run the risk of starting looking similar, even if if we styleRead More »from 5 Ways to Upgrade Your Wardrobe (Without Blowing Your Budget)

'80s fashion trends have been slowly making their way back into stores. Fortunately, they are arriving with updated silhouettes and details to keep things fresh and interesting! Last week was the 32nd anniversary of MTV's first music video, Video Killed the Radio Star. The 1979 hit by The Buggles aired at 12:01am on August 1st, 1981 and ushered in a new era of music, television and fashion. (Who else remembers sitting around all afternoon watching music videos and wondering if they could convince their mom to buy them fingerless gloves?) MTV introduced the world to parachute pants, big hair, leg warmers, and all those wonderful '80s fashion bits that we love to make fun of today. In honor of that funky moment in fashion history, here are some '80s trends you can still rock today (permed hair optional).

photo: Kyle EricksenMaybe you look really put together...until you open your handbag. And then you seem a little, um, crazy, which isn't exactly the vibe you were going for this morning. Good thing Melanie Charlton, owner of the organizational design firm Clos-ette, has one really great tip for de-cluttering.

"After switching to travel-size beauty products, the best thing you can do is compartmentalize," says Charlton. That means dedicating one spot in your bag to your phone, another to your keys, another to the makeup that you actually need (we're looking at you, dried out lipstick), and another to pens (your new limit is two, and both of them have to have ink and caps). Your bag only has so many pockets, so if you want extra credit, "use small pouches to organize the stuff you need," says Charlton. You can get cute, colorful bags so you'll actually use them (cheapie plastic ones from Target are among Charlton's

We've all been there. There's a piece at the store or online that's a little outside your comfort zone, but it's so pretty. (And on deep clearance!) You take a long look then shrug and say, "Eh, why not?" I got an orange tube skirt on super clearance a while back. I'm not really an orange person, but I have a deep and abiding love of tube skirts and, really, it was SO cheap... And then it arrived. It was so much brighter in person! And tighter than it looked online! I panicked a bit. How on earth was I supposed to wear a bright orange skin-tight tube skirt? As it turns out, this has been an incredibly versatile skirt. I wear it at least once a week and it has become a go-to piece for me since I know a bunch of different ways I can quickly and easily style it. After I got over my initial apprehension, I realized it goes with just about anything and I fell deeply in love. If you have a piece like this, take inspiration from me and get creative!
