From structured and modern to whimsical and vintage, there is a pattern for every wedding, which is why prints are a trend to watch. Collecting floral china and mixing the pieces together is one way to add another layer of visual interest to your vintage fete, while opting for a black and white statement backdrop for your cake is our favorite feature for a modern affair. Are you torn between two prints? Including both is definitely an option if they incorporate the same (or very similar) colors. While we're on the subject of colors, consider adding a neutral or two (think white and beige) in order to allow the patterns to really become a focal point.
With all of these ideas in mind, we've included three of the most popular prints (hello, florals, chevron and stripes!) and more from Lover.ly in the gallery. Click through and let us know your favorite in the comments!

At least six girls showed up at my high school prom wearing silky, backless yellow gowns, looking as though they'd just stepped off the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days set. It was a big year for stealing prom dress ideas from movies and T.V. (the O.C. was happening, too), but then again, is it ever not? There's always amazing prom-spiration to be had from Hollywood--and not just in recent movies and shows. Who doesn't love a good throwback?
We've rounded up our favorite black tie, prom-ish moments to inspire your dress shopping this year. (Personally I'd recommend going with that Kate Hudson dress. It might even be considered "retro" now. Sigh.)

The $45,000 pen Despite a turbulent year and a massive cheating scandal that led to a brief separation, Robert Pattinson still shelled out the big bucks for Kristen Stewart's 23rd birthday present. Considering the duo have millions and millions of dollars sitting in their bank accounts thanks to the "Twilight" franchise, it's no surprise that when it came time to shop, the word "budget" didn't enter his head. So, he bought her a $45,000 Bentley pen.

Apparently, K-Stew is an avid pen collector and had her eye on this one for awhile. It's a Tibaldi Bentley Crewe fountain pen made entirely of white gold, and there are only 40 of them in the world. The barrel of the pen is identical to the dashboard Bentley used in their first car, so it's not only a collector's item, it has historical significance.
Pattinson allegedly had it engraved with "From R," and asked her to
