• Let's face it: If you're a child of divorce, you've probably experienced a lot of changes in your family life. Perhaps it has never even fully recovered to a normal state (unless that state is, of course, chaos). I know the feeling. My parents "started" divorcing while I was in high school and they didn't finish until I was halfway through college. Times like these are incredibly emotional and life-changing for everyone involved. Being the child of divorced parents can also be extremely tricky when it comes time for your big day.

After my now-husband Graham proposed and we started planning our wedding, I suddenly had a lot of questions. Is it bad form to have just my mom walk me down the aisle? (I didn't have a good relationship with my father at the time.) How could I involve my dad without stirring up family drama? What if both parents walked me down the aisle? Is that even possible to ask from two people who once had a restraining order against each other? What if my dad's wife

  • 6 Secrets of Dogs Revealed

By Dr. Marty Becker | vetstreet.com

ThinkstockIt's no surprise that I love animals. They've always been a part of my life as a farm kid and as a veterinarian, and I was fortunate to marry a woman who feels the same way. We've always had pets as part of our family, and we simply can't imagine our Almost Heaven Ranch without the cats, dogs, horses, wild animals (elk, turkeys, wolves - yes, wolves!) and many more who share our land.

With our own animals, we have certainly learned to laugh at living with them. They probably think we're pretty funny, too, sometimes: The dogs laugh with us, and the cats laugh at us!

Since I previously wrote about "The Secret Life of Cats," I thought I'd do the same about dogs. Here's what I came up with:

    1. Bedroom Secrets Revealed: In the sack, dogs have it made. They get their choice of where to sleep and how long to sleep. In the classic paintings, dogs are shown asleep, a contented crescent of fur at their master's feet. Not so today! Dogs stretch

Nicknamed "Whole Paycheck" by snarky shoppers, Whole Foods Market has earned a reputation for unaffordable prices. Although it's true the health-food giant stocks plenty of high-end goods, many items are actually less expensive than comparable products at a traditional grocery store. Don't believe it? Cheapism.com did some shopping cart reconnaissance at a Whole Foods Market and a Safeway store in the same Seattle-area neighborhood to compare the cost of over 200 similar products. Here are 25 items that were cheaper at Whole Foods.

What do I do when a guy says he loves me, but he won't commit to being my boyfriend? Does he really love me?

    - Miss Interpreted

    Dear M.I.,

Here's your short answer: Run away! No, he doesn't really love you!

Here's your long answer: Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! Run away! No, he doesn't really love you! No, he doesn't really love you! No, he doesn't really love you! No, he doesn't really love you!

Okay, seriously, we can think of maybe a handful of reasons why somebody may really actually honestly love you but be unable to commit to being your boyfriend:

    1. He's already taken. In which case, like, we said: Run away!

    2. He loves you like a sister. In which case: Run away! Because you'll never get out

  • Researchers find men taking statins reported improved erectile function(Newser) - Drop your cholesterol before dropping your pants, or so suggests a new study out of Rutgers University. Researchers there analyzed 11 studies on erectile dysfunction and statins, which are prescribed to lower cholesterol along with heart attack and stroke risk. What they found was that in addition to lowering those risks, statins "also improve erectile function in the men included in our analysis," says lead researcher John Kostis, who notes that erectile dysfunction often goes hand in hand with cardiovascular disease, and can even be a warning sign of it.

While further research is needed-and Kostis notes doctors shouldn't prescribe statins solely for erectile dysfunction-he thinks the finding could be a good factoid for doctors to use in convincing patients who need statins to take them as prescribed.

The Rutgers press release on the 11 studies assessed all used the International Inventory of Erectile Function, "a self-reporting evaluation of male sexual function

"We are now married, which is nice," Tom says. "I know that was just made legal in the UK, which is great. We were married in the States." He also showed off his wedding ring to the crowd, according to Telegraph.

Since so many actors wear Tom's couture threads on the red carpet, we wonder if he wore one of his own signature tuxes for his nuptials.

  • Princesses Need Not Apply in New GoldieBlox Ad

After months of making headlines for its legal battles, GoldieBlox, the anti-princess company that sells toys and apparel to budding female engineers, wants to remind the world what its really about through yet another buzzy ad.

“This Is Your Brain on Engineering” posted to YouTube on Tuesday, opens with a little girl wearing a white lab coat outfitted with pink wings. She holds up an egg and says, “This is your brain.” She then sets the egg on a conveyer belt and says, “This is your brain on princess.” As the egg moves forward, it’s decorated with makeup, a blond wig, and a tiara as signs pop up with the captions, “At age 7, girls begin to lose confidence in math and science,” and “At age 13, over half of all girls are unhappy with their bodies.”

As the pretty egg falls off the belt, it's replaced by a new one and the girl says, “This is your brain on engineering.” And that's when the company truly makes its case with hand-written notes with stating, “Engineering jobs are growing

Sarah LavoieIt's not uncommon to meet your spouse in college - but Miami University in Oxford, OH has a very special place in their hearts for married alumni, and gave them the nickname "Miami Mergers."

More from The Knot: 10 Wedding Questions You Didn't Know To Ask

14% of the school's alums are married to other alums, so it's been a tradition since 1973 to send each Merger couple a unique Valentine's Day Card every year (14,000 went out this year!). Miami's bookstore also sells Miami Merger t-shirts, candles, stickers and wine, which is kind of the cutest thing ever.

Sarah Lavoie, a Miami nursing student, is engaged to alum Sam Kaplunov, and is a proud soon-to-be Miami Merger (since their wedding is June 20, 2015). She also has lots of friends who are Mergers and children of Mergers.

"Everyone knows what a Miami Merger is before they even commit to going to Miami - they talk about it at orientation!" Sarah says. "Sam and I were recently back on campus
