    Dusting is one of my least favorite chores. It's such a thankless, neverending task. Whisk it away one weekend and, before the next weekend rolls around, your furniture is dust-covered once again. While you can't permanently rid your home of dust, there are some things you might doing that are sabotaging your efforts to zap it.

    Diluted White Vinegar: Gentle Cleanser
    A solution of vinegar and water in a spray bottle can go a long way when it comes to cleaning and disinfecting. "Mildly acidic white vinegar dissolves dirt, soap scum and hard-water deposits from smooth surfaces, yet it is gentle enough to use on hardwood flooring," according to cleaning expert Cynthia Townley Ewer, author of Houseworks.
