I just read that Tom Brady knows if his baby with Gisele Bundchen is going to be a boy or a girl, but Gisele has no idea! He said: "I'm really the only one that knows at this point. It's a pretty good feeling knowing something that no one else knows. I wanted to find out and [Gisele] didn't, so she said, 'Go ahead.' It will be a surprise for her." Would you ever be able to do that?

I think this story is so funny because Drew and I were talking about this very scenario the other day after I read Joanna's post about her friend having a baby and keeping the gender a surprise. Drew said whenever we have a baby, he wants to know if it's a boy or a girl, but I think I want to wait. After reading Joanna's post, it convinced me that it would be so fun to find out in the hospital room where there was so much excitement going on.

Drew suggested that he could find out the baby's gender from the doctor, and he'd keep it a secret from me which I thought was totally unrealistic. I could never keep that big of a secret because I know I'd accidentally let it slip, but Drew is convinced he could keep his mouth shut. Tom even said he's super careful with his pronouns to make sure he doesn't give it away. "I always mix it," he said. "I don't think I've ever slipped. I'm very conscious when I'm saying it." I'm impressed! Drew and I clearly have a lot of time before we have to make a final decision about this, but hey, if it works for Tom and Gisele, maybe it would work for us?

Would you ever let your guy find out your baby's gender and keep you in the dark? Or do you think it would be too easy to slip up?

P.S. What baby names do you like? Would you ever name your child after your husband? And how do you feel about unusual baby names?
