'Good Wife' Actor Talks About Getting Hazed Online

Ben Rappaport plays fourth-year associate Carey Zepps on CBS's "The Good Wife," and if you knew him a few years ago, you probably wouldn't be surprised by his onscreen success. Ben went to school at Julliard, no small feat for an aspiring performer. "I took myself really seriously when I was a high school actor," Ben says. "You would have really hated me."

Before he landed big-name projects such as "Outsourced," "Hope Springs," and "The Good Wife," Ben could be found in a sentimental 2008 jewelry ad. "My first gig out of school was a Kay Jewelers commercial," he says. In the ad, he surprises his deaf girlfriend with a watch at Christmastime. It set the tone for more work to follow. "I had a few years of off-Broadway stuff, running around auditioning, and "Outsourced" was my first big break."

Ben knew he made it big when haters began posting comments about him online. "People are really mean," he says. People would say, "This guy's not funny, he's boring, he's a little fat." While he admits to sometimes overindulging in craft services, Ben says he's been working out a lot lately. "I'm feeling pretty damn good. Dear haters, check me out now!"
