Miranda Kerr Puts Food On Her Face

Australian beauty Miranda Kerr stopped by Daily Shot to share beauty secrets with Ali, and talk about her new campaign helping women and girls.

Miranda, 30, has been modeling since her early teens, and became a household name as a Victoria’s Secret model. She also studied nutrition and now runs her own organic skin care line, Kora Organics.

She told Ali that a few simple food items can do wonders for skin and hair: egg white on your hair makes it shiny. Avocado is also great for hair and face. “Cucumber is great for your eyes, “ she adds. But her favorite is coconut oil, used as a hair treatment.

As for healthy summer snacking, she says, “You know what’s a good way to have a refreshing tasty treat? Frozen blueberries.” She says she and her son love that snack, as well as a special healthy muffin recipe she makes. (See below.)

Miranda is also partnering with Gillette Venus for charity. She’s spreading the word that for every tweet using hashtag, “#stepup,” Venus will donate $1 to Step Up Women’s Network, up to $25,000. The network creates after-school programs for teenage girls and helps professional women with connections and continuous career development.
