From lightning strikes to love at first sight, you've probably wondered, "What are the chances?" Founder and president of "The Book of Odds," Amram Shapiro stopped by "Daily Shot" to reveal the most shocking statistics about life, love, and death.

What are the chances that you'll be struck by lightning? About one in a million. But if you're one of the unlucky few to get hit by a bolt, it may not be over. "The odds of surviving a lightning strike are 90 percent," Amram says. "To put that into context, those are about the same odds that a household has a family Bible."

What are the odds you'll meet your match on a blind date? If a friend offers to set you up, don't let your hopes get too high. "Blind dates are right up there with dental procedures," Amram says. "They're not very successful. Only one in 34.5 blind dates produce a long-term relationship."
