Voila! 5 Walls Decorated with Toile
I love toile. The pattern changes and moves with its location. They go so well with all the florals we're seeing this season, too. Toile was originally produced in Ireland in the mid-18th century and quickly became popular in Britain and France. I've collected a few images of toile this season. Here are my 5 favorite hand-painted toile walls that I wish I had in my home.
1. Lilly Pulitzer Shop - Madison Avenue
Look closely at the wall, and you'll see that a pretty grand piano and window fill this dressing room. This hand-painted wall is in Lilly Pulitzer's Madison Avenue shop.
2. Orange and Pink Bedroom Wall
This bedroom gets a pop of color from an orange and pink toile. I really love how it contrasts with the black and white blanket and turquoise padded headboard.

3. Black and White Dining Room
This oversized Arcadian mural is elegant without being stuffy. It looks great paired with rustic furniture.
4. Cloudy with a Chance of Toile
These walls are hand-painted to look like clouds - a very achievable DIY idea. The beautiful toile window treatment completes the look.

5. Cool Contrast
Toile works together here on both walls and upholstery, because of the different sizes of patterns and colors.
