Check Out This Offbeat Halloween Wedding

A wedding should reflect the couple getting married, and Ashley Trader and David Lemmon's nuptials were anything but traditional.

The pair, who had been engaged for the past 18 months, always wanted to get married on Halloween, continuing a tradition begun by Ashley's grandmother, who got hitched on the spooky holiday.

With the date set, all they needed was a venue, and no place was more perfect for them... than Kroger grocery store in Madison, Indiana?

David had to work on Halloween, so they were on a tight schedule. They headed over to the store, where their officiant, Ashley's great-uncle and local pastor Mark Calvert, works in the meat department. "All my family, at one time or another, has worked at this store," the bride told the Madison Courier.

Following the Halloween theme, the bride wore a black dress and fake blood smeared across her face, while the groom donned a t-shirt and a gory homemade wound on his cheek. They exchanged plastic eyeball rings and made it official in the candy aisle of Kroger, celebrating their love as customers shopped around them. Strange? Totally. Sweet? Definitely.

David and Ashley are planning a more traditional ceremony with their families next year, but we think that nothing will top this one-of-a-kind walk down the aisle!
