Do-Gooding Skateboarders Get a Huge Surprise from Ellen

Zac Archuleta, 28, and Andy Dicker, 26, are two tattooed skateboarders from Southern California -- and two huge Ellen fans. The two bros were over the moon when they got tickets to an "Ellen" taping last November, and were even more excited to receive a $200 JCPenney gift card, given to each audience member.

No one would begrudge these two skaters if they went on a shopping spree right after the show. Inspired by Ellen's generosity and desire to give back, the two friends instead decided to use these gift cards for a good cause.

Zac and Andy contacted the Washington family from Watts, a marginalized community in Los Angeles. They knew the kids from their youth development program, Intro to Skateboarding, and wanted to help give them a Christmas they'd never forget. They brought the whole Washington family to JCPenney and used the gift cards to buy anything the kids wanted. They also provided them with brand new skateboards. Some of the boards the kids kept; the rest they gave to other young skaters who couldn't afford new equipment.

The Good News wanted to share Andy and Zac's kind act with the world, which is why we invited them back to tell us more about their good deed. They had no idea we would have a big surprise in store for them - two $500 JCPenney gift cards so they can keep paying it forward.
