Slow Elk to His Herd: 'Wait Up, You Guys!'

A massive herd of elk was recently spotted crossing a road in Bozeman, MT near Yellowstone National Park. The hundreds-strong herd continued their journey on the other side… save for one lone elk, who couldn't seem to figure out how to hop the fence.

Some Good (human) Samaritans pulled to the side of the road, wanting to help the animal jump the fence so he could catch up with his herd, but their kindness wasn't necessary. Finding no other way around his barrier, the little guy eventually mustered up the strength and made a glorious leap to the other side!

If that weren't heartwarming enough, a group of his fellow elk hung in the back of the herd, waiting for any stragglers. Too cute!

We're glad his buddies didn't give up on him, and that he didn't give up on himself.
