The Mirror revealed a series of stunning photographs of a 50-ton southern right whale and her calves meandering in shallow waters off the coast of Argentina. The warm waters attract them to the area around this time each year, where they go to raise their offspring.

The images were captured by Wildlife photographer Justin Hofman, and there are more to look at on his website. Hofman told AOL, "Being in the water with a whale is the most humbling experience I've ever had underwater."

The photographer's portfolio includes images of a variety of sea and arctic creatures, including killer whales, walruses, polar bears and penguins.
