Taylor Swift's Act of Kindness Helps a Hospitalized Fan in a Big Way

Nine-year-old Nathan Cariker from Attleboro, RI has been a Taylor Swift fan his whole life. He's been listening to the superstar's songs since before he could even speak, and they've always cheered him up when he was down from dealing with his constant seizures.

When Nathan was hospitalized at the Hasbro Children's Hospital, he got something better than a Taylor Swift song -- a visit from the singer herself!

Swift paid a surprise visit to Nathan on Monday, spending some time talking with him and playing on a small keyboard on his hospital bed. You'd expect a visit like this to be accompanied by lots of media, but the only one filming this intimate moment was Nathan's mother Sandra.

"My son just looked at her, and I started crying," said Sandra to WJAR. "We used to listen to her songs over and over again, and he would pick up the words," said the grateful mother. "I always dreamed of telling her that."

Swift came to the Rhode Island hospital with her father, and spent five hours helping to bring some joy to sick children. Her good deed really shows that doing something so simple can have a really big impact.
