Watch This Big Sister Meet Her Baby Sibling for the First Time

There's nothing like the bond between siblings, and for some, that bond begins right at birth. To celebrate National Siblings Day, we wanted to share this heartwarming video of a little girl meeting her baby sister for the first time.

Ellen fans Amy and Tim Lacock sent us this video of their 3-year-old daughter Ellie the moment she met Harper, one of her two younger twin siblings born premature.

The twins, Harper and Matthew, were born five weeks before their due date and had to be supervised in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the days following their birth. Ellie wasn't able to see them, since hospital rules dictate that children under 12 aren't allowed inside.

When baby Harper was finally allowed to go home with her parents (Matthew had to stay a bit longer), Amy and Tim decided to surprise Ellie with the best gift ever -- her baby sister! You can easily see just how happy Ellie was to meet her.

"To capture this first meeting in a video was absolutely amazing," Amy tells the Good News blog. "I watch it every day and it still brings happy tears to my eyes."

Both Harper and Matthew are now out of the hospital, and the family couldn't be happier. "Ellie is in 7th heaven with her brother and sister being home," says Amy.

Do you have footage of your child experiencing something for the very first time? We want to see it!
