1. Joan Rivers is pissed. Usually. But Joan says she was "held hostage" by airport security in Costa Rica this weekend because her passport read, "Joan Rosenberg AKA Joan Rivers," which was apparently suspicious to the agent ... even though she tried to explain it was the name of her late husband, Ed Rosenberg. Rivers' ticket to Newark was given away while cops were called in and Rivers spent the night in a hotel, getting increasingly disgruntled for her morning flight. Come on. No one in the world looks like Joan Rivers (fortunately), so why would someone pretend? [TMZ]

2. Mexican rock star Alejandra Guzman got in a fight during a flight to Huatulco, Mexico, this weekend when a fan made a "very pushy and reckless attempt" to take her picture, even though Guzman asked her to "respect her privacy" since the singer wanted to rest after finishing a show at 5 a.m. The pilot turned the plane back to Mexico City because of the ruckus and Guzman's managers felt it was necessary to announce, "Guzman was not on drugs or drinking, as some media have erroneously mentioned." How do you stay up until 5 a.m. without alcohol or drugs? I don't think anyone would have blamed her. [Huffington Post]

3. The day after Christmas, Ivana Trump was feeling a bit scroogey before a flight to New York. She went off on a "cuss-filled tirade" about the kids running around in the aisles-they were obviously still high from their Christmas glories. When the flight attendants couldn't calm her down, Trump, who recently divorced her fourth husband, was escorted by security back to the Palm Beach Airport terminal. You'd think with all that money she could buy some holiday spirit ... or some Xanax? [Celebrity Gossip]

4. Levi Johnston acted like a diva in November at JFK airport when he insisted on getting on to the plane first rather than waiting with the "regular folks," which included "Seinfeld" actor Jason Alexander. The hissy fit led to Levi being seated first, in the front row of first class, while Jason Alexander sat behind him like a non-crazy person. Come on, Levi, back to Alaska with you. [Allie Is Wired]

5. Shocker. Pete Doherty was arrested in June after a British Airways flight to Switzerland, where he was caught doing heroin in the airplane bathroom. Well, more accurately, he was passed out after doing heroin in the bathroom. He was escorted back to his seat in coach and when they landed, he was charged. I guess it was mostly a big deal because Pete's been telling everyone he's sober. And if we know anything about drug addicts, it's that they always tell the truth. [Celebrity Smack Blog]

6. Sharon Stone hasn't had the best of luck relating to people in recent years and on a recent flight from Montana to Salt Lake City, Stone went off on a flight attendant who asked her to check her second bag. An eyewitness reported, "They eventually took the bag from her and she screamed at her assistant and made a scene during the entire flight. When the plane got to Salt Lake City it was met by armed Salt Lake City police officers." But according to Stone's rep, "Sharon had been visiting her father in Montana, and was approved to take both bags on the plane. When she got to the plane, she told me the stewardess screamed at her that she couldn't take both bags on board." Oh, and the "police" who greeted her were security guards hired by Sharon. The fun thing about publicists is that they can say whatever they want. "And then Sharon Stone made it rain gumdrops and all the passengers rejoiced," would have been a better ending though. 7. After Amy Winehouse's vacay in St. Lucia this summer, she was apparently not ready to settle down when she got on her flight home and immediately got blitzed. According to a fellow passenger, "Amy appeared from first class, shouting incoherently and running up and down the aisles. She had clearly been drinking. It was an overnight flight, so most people were just watching films or trying to sleep ... It wasn't funny, it was just annoying." It's mostly surprising that she was expected to sit still for any period of time. [CelebTV]

8. Naomi Campbell has a reputation for being a tad hostile, and during a 2008 flight, Campbell showed her British Airways captain some less-than-model behavior when she demanded he find her missing bags and dropped some heavy F-bombs. When police officers came to calm her down, Naomi spit on one of them while hitting him with her phone (her weapon of choice), and got another officer in the thigh with her stiletto boot. While being arrested, she said, "You are only doing this because I am black and famous. It is because I am a black woman. You are all racists. I am going to sue you. I am going to sue you like a motherf**ker." Jeez, maybe if we put her powers towards good, Naomi could be a feisty superhero instead of a menace to the help? [Fashionologie]

9. Mr. Ralph Fiennes apparently got "amorous" with a stewardess in the bathroom during a flight from Darwin to Mumbai in 2007, when he was still relatively famous for acting in movies, apparently. According to the stewardess, "I went to the nearby toilet and entered it, he followed me and entered the same toilet. I explained to him that this was inappropriate and asked him to leave. Mr Fiennes became amorous towards me and, after a short period of time, I convinced him to leave the toilet, which he did. I left the toilet a short time later. At no time did any crew member come to my assistance." What I'm curious about is what occurred during that "short period of time" in between the amore and the convincing? [Celebitchy]

10. Poor Britney Spears
tried to take her shoes off during a flight from L.A. to New York. But everyone freaked out at the terrible stench which came from her bare feet. A stewardess convinced Britney to put her shoes back on before she'd gassed out the other passengers. I guess when you walk around public restrooms barefoot, you're bound to pick up some germs, but could you really stink up an entire plane? [Defamer]
