10 Summer Trends We Wish Would Just Die Already

Okay ladies, it's nearly mid-August, and fall is just around the corner. After a balmy few months being bombarded with crop-tops, short-shorts, and platform flip-flops, it's time to sound off on which summer trends you with would just die already.
Travel booking site Sunshine recently surveyed more than 2,000 men and women to find out what their top-ten most-hated summer fashion trends are. Guess what rang in at number one?
Yup, cut-out swimsuits.
What once seemed like a good tummy-covering alternative somewhere mid-way between a skin-baring bikini and a cover-all one-piece has somehow earned sunbathers' scorn. Maybe it's the weird tan lines? Or maybe they're too complicated to put on--like, where-does-my-arm-go?

Here are the nine other most-hated summer fashion trends that ranked high in the survey -
2. Socks and sandals
3. Speedos
4. Ill-fitting bikinis (this is less a trend, I think, and more just a problem with people not knowing what
suits their bodies best?)
5. Hawaiian shirts

6. Patriotic clothing
7. Sun visors
8. Maxi dresses
9. Oversized hats
10. Wedges (We politely disagree with this one! Who doesn't love a walkable wedge?)
What do you think of this list? It's pretty good, but I think there are definitely things we could add. Like, say, shorts that show off underbutt--die!--or kitten-heel flip-flops (which are a special pet peeve of Christina's). And what about old-school horrors that refuse to go away--like thong bikini bottoms or rubbery-foam platform flip-flops, which are a hazard to ankles everywhere?
