3 Ways to Pull off Bright Makeup

We are huge fans of Sandra Bullock-and her fuchsia lipstick at Sunday's Academy Awards only fueled our girl crush on her. Take a cue from the award-winning actress and add a popping hue to your makeup routine. Here are three ways to pull off bright makeup this spring.

Lips
Patent red has been seen for a few seasons now, but fuchsia is making its way in as a lip trend. Try NARS lipstick in Funny Face or Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color in Bit of Berry. Compliment your bold pout with black eyeliner, a beige shadow and a few coats of mascara.

Eyeliner

Physicians Formula has new gel liners that are customized to your eye color-the trio includes two neutral shades and one eye-popping hue. (Shown on the left for green eyes). If you're shy on brights at first, line your lash line with color, then work a fine-tipped black liquid liner into your water line (the very inner rim of your eye). This allows the color to peek through while the black tones it down slightly.

Cheeks

Try a hot pink blush, (use purple for darker skin tones) on the apples of your cheeks. Check out Leighton Meester-just a pinch of color is all she needs to bring her look from day to night. Check out MAC's newest color forecasts to find your perfect match.
