7 Longwear Makeup Products, 24 Hours -- Which One Actually Lasted?
Here's my typical thought process while watching a commercial for longwear makeup:
Phase 1: Interest is piqued. 48 hours?!
Phase 2: Disbelief/scoffing. There's no way a lipstick can last two full days with all that eating, drinking, and (hopefully) kissing. Plus, who actually wears makeup for 48 hours straight?
Phase 3: Curiosity. But what if it did work? Wouldn't that solve some of my major makeup concerns?
By the time the commercial is over, I'm looking online to find out where I can buy this amazing product. This is exactly what happened when I went on the hunt for the best red lipstick for my skin tone. (Find yours here.)
OK, as a beauty editor, it's my job to be curious ... and a little bit brave. (If you want real bravery, check out what happened when my fellow editor actually let her boyfriend dress her for an entire week.) So, after watching one of these commercials, I dared myself (yep, like I said, brave) to wear 7 different longwear products for 24 hours straight. No face washing, no touch ups. Yikes.
