A Cosmo Fashion Editor's Secrets For Looking Great Pregnant

Hi! I'm Amri Kibbler, Cosmo's Senior Fashion Market Editor. No I didn't just have a big lunch before this photo. I'm five months pregnant. I'm at that awkward stage where most of my pants are too tight, but it's not super clear if I'm pregnant or just gained a few, so I want to be careful of what I wear.

This photo was taken during New York Fashion Week, when everyone is checking each other out at the shows and you want to look good at all times. First I went through my closet and pulled out all the options that actually fit. This really narrowed it down. The Jenni Kayne sequin tank you see in the photo is something I used to wear sort of loose and sexy with a super skinny pant for evening. I layered a colorful button down under it to make it work-appropriate. I know you might think, Sequins on a pregnant belly? But this works because the rest of the outfit is in the same goldy brown color so your attention is on the blue sleeves and neckline. The Theory pants I'm wearing were a little loose on me a few months ago. Now I'm wearing them slouchy and pulled down around my hips (which are now smaller than my middle).

In the winter I love mixing textures and patterns so I've got on a thin summer shirt fabric, sequin tank, tweed pants, brown pattern socks, and suede oxfords with gold heels all in the one outfit. This looks good pregnant or not because I've kept all the textures and print in this same color family, with just the colorful button down as my accent color.
