Alex Woo's Delightful Chimpanzee Pendants Benefit the Jane Goodall Institute

New York-based jewelry designer Alex Woo has long used nature as inspiration for her delicate and lovely pieces. She's got her pieces around the necks of Rachel Bilson, Zooey Deschanel, Kelly Ripa and Kellan Lutz, to name a few celebs.
For the DisneyNature movie, Chimpanzee, she designed two pendants in honor of the documentary's protagonist, Oscar. Woo said in a press release, "As the mother of a toddler, I instantly bonded with Oscar, the adorable 3-year-old from the film. I really wanted to capture his youthful and precocious spirit, as well as his beautiful surroundings."
The pendant's composition is made of up Oscar and three vines. The vines were inspired by the Jane Goodall Institute and its mission to protect animals, people and the environment. Twenty percent of the sales of the pendants will go to the institute's conservation efforts to protect chimpanzees and their environment.
