Avon Provides Relief to Those Affected By The Season's Deadly Tornados

If you've been keeping up with the news you know that recently our country has been getting slammed with crazy storms, floods, and tornadoes. Having personally gone through three major hurricanes and a tornado I am very familiar with the devastation it can cause and how many lives it can affect. It's during times like this that people need to get together and help those affected and I was happy to know that Avon was doing that very thing. Since May 20, Avon Cares has launched a disaster relief program to help those affected by the tornados that wrecked havock on our Southern states. Their 17 foot mobile vehicles have been driving through these areas distributing much needed products to families and communities.

"Disaster relief has long been a critical component of Avon's philanthropy," said Jorge Martinez-Quiroga, Avon's Senior Vice President & President ofNorth America. "We believe it is our responsibility as a global corporate citizen to lend our support to the relief efforts aiding local Avon Representatives and their communities."


Their last stop will be the hardest hit area of Joplin, Missouri, where they will be partnering with Soles4Shoes, who will be donating flip flops along with Avon's care packages.
