When we weren't hobbling around in our best stilettos during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, we had the chance to catch up with a style-savvy blonde named Barbie. And she was quite the doll! She dished about her favorite spring/summer 2013 styles, life with Ken, and her bid in the 2012 presidential election--proving that life in plastic really is fantastic.

Betty Confidential: What are the MB Fashion Week styles you love right now?

Barbie: I heart all of the fab patterns and colors coming from Kate Spade NY--statement pieces are always a must!

BC: We've all been guilty of a style faux pas or two. What are your biggest fashion mishaps?

B: When I look back at pictures from the '70s and '80s I definitely giggle at some of my fashion choices, but I've always loved my clothes in the moment. So guilty of a fashion faux pas? No!

BC: You own over a million pairs of shoes. How do you keep track of them all?

B: I do my best to keep my shoes organized by color, style and season. Still, if you've seen my reality show, Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse, you know that it is always an adventure when you step inside The Dream Closet!

BC: You've held over 130 careers. What inspired your foray into fashion design?

B: I fell in love with fashion when I realized that putting on a new outfit can totally transform you! My careers are always changing, but fashion has been a constant passion of mine no matter which dreams I am pursuing.

BC: Will there be more collaborations with your designer friends next year?

B: Of course! As a fashion-loving doll that adores design, it's always a dream to work with inspiring new designers.

BC: You don't look a day over 20. What's your secret?

B: As a California doll I know the importance of (plastic) skin care!

BC: You're running in the 2012 election. What makes you shine as a candidate?

B: I'm (literally) standing on my own for the first time, and I am so excited to be the sole female candidate in the 2012 presidential elections! Be sure to join the B Party at Barbie2012.com, dolls!

BC: Now that you and Ken are back together, is there a wedding in your future?

B: Ken is the ultimate dream date, but right now we are just happy to be reunited and helping each other follow our dreams.

BC: You're now on Season Two of Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse. How does it feel to have the cameras following you?

B: OMD. I heart the entire camera crew! It took a little while to get used to at first, but now the Dreamhouse doesn't feel complete when they're not around.

BC: How do you manage to balance your careers, a campaign, a reality show, and dating?

B: The support of my dolls, iced lattes and plenty of apps. I don't set foot anywhere without my iPhone!

BC: What do you have in store for us next?

B: I'm always looking for new ways to inspire dolls to get involved and follow their dreams. With the right attitude (and outfit!), anything is possible. Stay tuned to see what happens, dolls!
