When it comes to the latest beauty trends, one thing we've definitely learned is that preparation is king! While the hottest fall beauty trends are starting to sink in now, it's never too early to start thinking spring. The latest looks at Mercedes Benzk Fashion Week definitely are a great head start into the realm of spring beauty. Luckily for you we've recapped the hottest looks from the shows we can't stop talking about!

Pink eyes

No, we aren't talking that gross eye infection you had way back in elementary school. This new eye trend extends an electric pop of color to the eyelids using pink shadows and liner to create a unique bold look. Seen at Donna Karan, this look is best paired with an offsetting neutral palette (nude lips, soft cheeks) on the face for a well-balanced look.

"Piercingly pink! This striking Donna Karan makeup looked amazing against the neutral palette of her wonderfully tailored designs. She really created a toned-down brow to let the dramatic eye shine. Think of this as the new spring smokey-eye. When recreating this look on your own, bring the color of the eyebrow down a few notches to balance this exciting look," says Anastasia Soare of Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Bold brows

Equally bold in the eye department comes the full, dramatic brows seen at shows such asVictoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs. One of Fashion Week's top looks, Josephine Fusco, makeup artist for the Raul Penaranda spring/summer fashion show, recommends a trusty brow pencil to recreate well-defined arches.

"Bold brows were everywhere for spring and you can fill in even the sparsest of brows with a pencil or powder to help enhance the shape. To create a full defined brow, go darker on the outer corner of the brow and a little lighter on the inner part as this creates an appearance of an even looking arch. My go to product for a full brows effect is the Precision Brow Pencil by Kevyn Aucoin and the Ben Nye eyebrow pencil."

Glowing skin

A softer and more refined palette proves to be an emerging trend as models at Alexander Wangsported fresh glistening skin which helped offset the loud and dramatic designs. Clean dewy skin was also spotted at Charlotte Ronson as the designer made a unique twist on beachy chic with natural waves and minimal makeup.

"The biggest trend on the runways was a softer palette including skin so radiant it emulates a barely there clean face. To add a dewy and glossy look to the skin, Dior Nude Skin Glowing Makeup and Yves Saint Laurent le Teint Touché Éclat Illuminating Foundation are great products to achieve such a soft look," says Emmy-Award-winning makeup artist Lavette Slater.

Pink cheeks

When looking for that perfect spring blush, celebrity makeup artist Tia Dantzler recommends to keep your cheeks equally soft and sheer. By adding a cream blush to your face, application is more controlled, allowing you to add the right amount of color to your cheeks.

"Pretty flawless skin is totally chic, so embrace a daily skincare regimen now so you can enjoy fresh skin and minimal makeup. Keep cheeks soft and dewy by selecting lighter hues of pinks and corals. The key to this look is by using a tiny amount of cream blush with a fluffy blush brush on the apples of the cheeks for a soft flush of pretty," says Dantzler, who has worked with the likes of Jennifer Hudson and Kanye West.

Braids, braids, braids!

What would fashion week be without those crazy hairstyles? Although we'd like to think that avant-garde hairstyles dominated runways for the spring summer season, celebrity hairstylistGregory Allen noticed lots of simpler styles such as braids making headlines.

"Fishtail braids were seen up and down the runway! The underwater inspired braid with wasps of hair hanging loose gives a romantic feel, while making it into fishtail pigtails gives the look a more youthful and funky vibe. Spray your hair with Salon Grafix Invisible Dry Conditioner and tousle your hair to add texture before your start the braid. Part your hair into two even sections and take a small strand of hair from one section and bring it over to the other side. Do the same with the other section. Keep on repeating until the braid is finished. Tug on both side of the braid, while gently pulling it apart to loosen it up and to create volume."
