Would You Buy a $550 Gym Bag?

While many of today's most talked-about designer collaborations involve affordable diffusion collections, Alexander Wang's new team-up with with the technological geniuses at Samsung has yielded one might pricey backpack. After the electronics company tasked Wang with crowdsourcing a limited-edition bag, the CFDA favorite asked some of his style industry BFFs to doodle potential patterns and images on their Samsung Galaxy Note II smartphones-which he in turn combined into a single decorative motif.

The result, called the Wallie gym sack, is a minimalist drawstring lambskin bag covered in an abstract gray and black print. It's available beginning today at Alexanderwang.com, with proceeds going to Art Start, a charitable organization that fosters creative talent among at-risk children.
