You'd think big celebrities would need lots of attention and all eyes on them, but this past weekend both Britney Spears and Tori Spelling took a backseat as bridesmaids in their friends' weddings. And they didn't even complain about the cheesy bridemaid gowns!

Spears walked down the aisle in a pale aqua gown at her assistant Brett Miller's ceremony at The Spanish Monastery in Miami. "Britney didn't want the ceremony to be about her and wanted it to be Brett's day, so she stood off to the side a lot and was at the end of the line for the wedding," a wedding guest told UsMagazine.com. "It was a nice wedding and low-key, even with Britney in attendance." Too bad Spears had to wear that cheap-looking bridesmaid dress What a good sport!

Meanwhile, Tori Spelling wore a strapless navy dress that sat very oddly on her chest as one of seven bridesmaids at her friend Amy Colvin's wedding in Beverly Hills. Spelling Tweeted: "Honored to be in Amy's bridal party. Amy is so truly beautiful -- proud to be by her side. Mike's a lucky man!"

Brides to be: the next time you hear complaints from your bridesmaids that they don't want to wear the dresses you picked out, just remind them that if big stars like Britney Spears and Tori Spelling are willing to go through this rite of passage, then maybe they should keep their mouths shut!
