CMT Music Awards 2011 Red Carpet Fashion Fabulosity and Cringes
The CMT annual event garnered stars from country, Hollywood and Broadway for a glittery evening.

Is there any award show that doesn't have Justin Bieber as a winner? Yup, he and Rascal Flatts won the Collaborative Video award for their song, That Should Be Me at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville last night. At the start of the show, Kid Rock attempted to sing (wearing an old school tracksuit) "Bawitdaba," before getting kicked off the stage by Wynona Judd (with a BAD dye job). She looked at him and said,"This is CMT, son." Mary Steenbergen (where has she been?) introduced a band. Ludacris and Jason Aldean sang a rap duet. Many bands had dancers who would have been equally comfortable dancing for Britney Spears, since they were doing the same moves. The night was one mashup piled upon another mashup.
With a show like that, what do you think the style was like? If you said, "all over the road," ding, ding, ding, you're right!
Read on for who looked fab, who needed just a bit of tweaking and who should just give it up. Oh yeah, I've switched it up and am presenting the worst dressed first!
Hang your head low
Nicole Kidman
It's not an award show if Nicole Kidman isn't on a worst dressed list somewhere. Love the sky blue Pierre Hardy shoes. The Proenza Schouler velour asymmetrical dress with its sheer curtain hem is a no. And thanks for showing us your granny girdle.
The JaneDear Girls
Danelle Leverett and Susie Brown of the JaneDear Girls. Pretty in Pink. Not.
American Idol's Scott McCreery and Lauren Alaina
It's the Homecoming King and Queen Scott McCreery and Lauren Alaina. Someone get them a stylist. Stat!
Crystal Bowersox
OMG! Crystal Bowersox looks like she's part of the Homecoming Court. She also looks like she's going to slug the photog.
Hillary Scott
Is it that she wears the same dress to every award show, or just keeps picking the same style? Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, please stop. The style is just plain unflattering. Hillary, step away from the dress.
On the fence
Kristin Chenoweth
The lace dress, while a little too sheer (not into seeing Kristin Chenoweth's bra), is pretty, but it would have looked better without the peek-a-boo hem. Black Mary Janes detract from the airiness of the dress, a metallic sandal would have amped up the ensemble.
Sara Evans
This blue is a terrific color for her. Love the matching toenail polish. The shoes, like Kristin's, are too clunky for the one-shouldered number she's wearing.
Martina McBride
Martina McBride's skirt, shoes and accessories are perfect for an event like last night's. It's the sad tee that should have been switched to something more glam.

Hayley Williams
Hayley Williams from the band Paramore. I don't know. It's like she stole the outfit from Madonna's archives, yet it's weirdly compelling.
Finally, the best dressed celebs are up next!
Best dressed
Shania Twain
She's baaack! Shania Twain, looking wonderful, has her voice back and a two-year contract to sing in Vegas!
Cheryl Hines
Who knew Cheryl Hines was a country fan? She looks amazing. What a teeny waist!
Sheryl Crow
Anothere Sheryl on the list! Sheryl Crow looks sleek and chic in her white cowl neck gown by Catherine Malandrino.
Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush
Here's a dapper duo: Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush could hit any red carpet event and fit right in.
Jana Kramer
Singer Jana Kramer's peach and silver cocktail dress looks as cool as a smoothie.
Mary Steenburgen
Hollywood glamour, that's what I'm talking about! Mary Steenburgen oozes sophistication.
