Designer Stephen Jones Gives a Whole New Meaning to “Holiday Barbie”

has undergone a holiday makeover, thanks to famed milliner Stephen Jones. As the latest designer to take on Barbie, Jones has created head-to-toe couture looks for the doll, which will be sold exclusively at Selfridges in London. The British hat maker has designed five custom looks for Barbie in homage to the holiday season: Happy Holly Barbie, Toffee Ice Barbie, Snow Globe Barbie, Santa Baby Barbie, and Christmas Tree Barbie (she lights up!). The milliner-a favorite ofKate Middleton,Victoria Beckham, andRihanna-not only created statement fascinators for Barbie, but embraced the holiday theme for each of her overall looks. "Barbie is the most fabulous private client. She came into the salon for her Christmas morning hat and left with five glamorous outfits!," Jones said in a statement. "Barbie and I have the same design vision; we love tradition, but have an eye for the future." Jones joins a long list of fashion designers and brands who have dressed the doll, includingHervé Léger,Coach,Prada,Burberry,Chanel, andLouis Vuitton.
