Diane Kruger's Style Philosophy: "There Is Such A Thing As Too Much"

By Tracey Lomrantz,Glamour magazine

When we named Diane Kruger one of the best dressed women of last year, we had her elegance, sophistication, and very subtle take on sexiness in mind. And that's no accident--it's exactly what the star says she focuses on when getting dressed, too...

Diane recently told People her philosophy when it comes to getting dressed: "I never let clothes wear me. Above all, I dislike vulgarity. Being sexy is all good, but there is such a thing as too much."

That would explain why her red carpet looks always have just a hint of skin but never go overboard--exposed shoulders instead of cleavage, short hemlines balanced out with full skirts, peek-a-boo lace that's suggestive but not in your face. It's one of many, many reasons I think she's a style star, and it's a philosophy I tend to get behind, too.

Are you more from the school of "If you've got it, flaunt it!" like Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian, and Scarlett Johansson, or do you agree with Diane that less is more? How much skin do you like to show when you get dressed up? Do you think "there is such a thing as too much," like Diane does, or are you all about showing it off while you're still young enough? I can't wait to hear your thoughts on this one, ladies!
