Do you wear pantyhose in the summer?

There's a story in the Wall Street Journal online today about pantyhose, specifically how, in workplaces all over the country, they are beginning to highlight a generational divide. It seems women who entered the work force before 1990 consider stockings a part of their professional uniform. Twenty-something ladies, however, have completely rejected the sweaty nets. Still, some jobs require them and employees' performance evaluations are often based on how well they adhere to the rules-dress code included (one company even required pantyhose under pants which is as ridiculous to me as its other fashion crushing rule: no boots). So here are the questions: Are bare legs offensive? Is hosiery somehow a show of respect for the office? Do you wear pantyhose to work? Do you think you should have to? Source: WSJ
