Does Beauty Trump Sexism at Work?

Even though we're believers in looking one's best, we haven't been happy with studies that show that good-looking people earn more money than those less blessed, or suggestions that women need to hit the Botox before they go job-hunting. But we realize the economic stakes are high these days for everyone, and they may be especially daunting for women.

Now, a just-published study in the Harvard Business Review notes that male MBAs are more likely to be promoted than their female counterparts and that women who graduate from business school are more likely to lose their jobs worldwide than men. Only two percent of Fortune 500 company CEOs are women, and the female representation on their boards of directors is only 15 percent. So-duh-sexism is alive and well.
